So, I was thinking about re-buying ME1 on my xbox since my old one is long gone, and I had a few questions I was hoping you all could help me with since it's been quite awhile since I've played ME1.
How many playthroughs maximum does it take to reach level 60? I know it's quite a bit, but is there a guide or something that could help?
Does the DLC effect ME2 or may any of it effect ME3? I bought bring down the sky awhile ago but never quite finished it. And I'm thinking about getting pinnacle station if I can afford it.
What is one of the easiest classes to play as? I remember I played as soldier if only for the assault rifle training. But since I can pick it as a bonus talent, should I try another class?
Thank you in advance.
A couple of questions...

How many playthroughs maximum? Impossible to tell, as it all comes down to how much of a completionist you are.
At least 2, maybe 5 if you just skim through it doing bare minimum.
Cant say what effect ME2 DLC will have on ME3, as ME3 isnt out yet.
BDtS is good, didnt have much of an effect on ME2, but -might- have one in ME3, some people are calling for a return of Balak to get him to pay for what he did. Pinnacle Station isnt really worth it to be honest.
Which class is easiest depends on the player. Traditional shooter fans will find the Soldier easiest, while others who played other genre games might find the Adept easier.

(1) there is a guide in the sticky by pacifien that tells how to best get to 60. At least two ( I only got to 58 in two )
here is the link http://social.biowar...4/index/2955634
(2) on very first pt you don't get to pick a bonus power - have to unlock.
There is a thread about building a level 50 char in one pt that has a bunch of suggested builds which I found helpful.
here it is http://social.biowar...1/index/5628294
Edit: added links

The easiest way to play ME1 is with Shepard spamming Immunity and bringing companions that can CC the heck out of enemies. So the three I like the most in that role are Kaidan, Tali and Liara, but that also means you need to build them up, but those three rock once you're level 35+.
So Soldier and Infiltrator are very easy with Immunity, Soldier can spec to be very friggin' tough as a Shock Trooper level 20+ after the Luna assignment, and you can put the AR talent on an Infiltrator, but I've gotten much utility from AI Hack for the cool down bonus to Sabotage (from Decryption), Overload (from Electronics) and Damping.
But I've beaten the game as a Sentinel in ME1, so any class works, you just have to the right Squad with you and continually put the best gear on the two companions you bring with you and on Shepard. That's tedious, but very necessary.
And I can link to other threads that have info on how to best build your Shepard and your companions.

I can get to lvl 60 in 2 playthroughs and between 55-57 in 1. The key is to always get out of the Makoand fight so you're not leaving any experience points on the table. Also if you're playing ME1 just to have some new imports into ME2 you might consider playing on casual to get through the game quickly. In you're 2nd playthrough you'll probably want to bump it normal because you'll he extremely overpowered.
I found the Adept the easiest class to play. Singularity is supremely powerful and you'll be able to lift Geth Collosus once you get the right Bio amps.

Do 3, it's less stressful.
You can speed through the first two, and perhaps abuse one of the glitches to get all your free charm/intimidate points as well, this way.
