See this is why you can't trust what people themselves think their reason is. Like I said before, 1, 2 and 5 have the EXACT same face and exact same expression. The changes are in the eye color and hair color. Here's 1 2 and 5 fused together. You don't see any distortion in the face at all. If you look closely, you'll see that the 3 hairs are blurring through since they're different. The other faces are different, but the facial expression of 1, 2 and 5 are exactly the same. In other words, you deluded yourself because of the hair style...

 I really find it funny how people keep calling blonde femshep "Barbie" or a cliché. Does that mean that every blonde hair blue eyed woman out there is a cliché? Or that we are all barbie's? (Yes I'm blonde) I voted for number five myself not because she was blonde but because I like her face and hair style the best. It's just a bonus that she is blonde as well.

Just because she is blonde does not mean that she will have different personality than the femshep we all know and love. She's the same! I would love it if because of all the barbie or other name calling that I've seen in threads like this one that there is a scene in game where blonde femshep gets called barbie, kinda like the scene with femshep and Harkin in ME 1. I can see it now...

Shepard and company walk in just in time to prevent some sort of diabolical plan.
Henchman #32- "And just who the hell are you?!" Looks femshep up and down. Smirks "What are you...Space Barbie."

I liked 2 and 4, but the blonde Shepard doesn't seem more Barbie-like than the others. Looking closely at the faces, they're all pretty similar, and the body-types don't appear to be any different from one femShep to another either. Sure, I might crack the occasional blonde joke, but I rather doubt that anyone would have called Six (Tricia Helfer) from BSG a ditzy blonde.

Either people liked the "whole package", or they prefer blondes, or they prefer long hair. In either case #5 is a valid choice, so I don't see your point there. Mashing up the faces proves nothing, they get all smeared together. The detail is lost. Personally, had I not gone for #3 I would have chosen #5 instead, mainly because she's blonde and I like blondes. Does that invalidate my opinion? That I like blondes?

Antiva is more like Italy, since it's dominated by city states. Antivans are also stated in game to be good at just about everything except fighting. Just like the Italians. (oh snap)

Yeah.. And the videos are uber bad quality, which won't help any. I already saw that episode. And no, the one you posted is one that is different. I said 1, 2 and 5 are the same, you posted 6, so you proved nothing.

If you like blondes, that's fine. I have no problem with that. The point is, that the hair is the main reason a lot of people chose 5 over the others, and if a single other one had the same long hair, that one would've probably taken the cake. This is a very bad edit, but, I wonder how many people would've liked this color (or brown/black) over the blonde one:

I don't understand this thread/OP. If the "tousled hair seems to fit Shepard's persona" then how on earth is she a barbie? Because she's blonde? I would have thought the hairstyle is what looks silly, not the colour.

Ohh forreal, just accept blonde will be the new official Jane for marketing purpouses, seriously, in the end it is still just about posters and display stands in stores, 80% of players don't even use default Sheps anyway.

I voted for femShep #5 because other than being the hottest choice and having the best hair style, she was the most "unique".
Most of the fanmade femSheps I've seen were either redheads or brunettes, it's very rare to see a blonde femShep; especially one that looked that good.

Personally I voted for #3, I liked the impression the face gave me, but you don't see me moaning and complaining about how she didn't get picked. In fact, I don't have a big problem with #5. See? People can be reasonable.

As a woman, I personally don't see the issue many are seeing with 'ALL THE SHALLOW FRAT BOYS PICKED THE BLONDE ONE BECAUSE ALL THEY LIKE IS ****** AND ASS!!1!!1' type of comments. Because the blonde hair, Shep suddenly becomes a bimbo (for lack of a better word)?

I can respect that some people like the atypical choices like Natalie Portman Shep, or Blade Runner Shep, but to try to justify this victory by claiming that everyone who voted for #5 did so because they were random people on FB who haven't played the game and judged soley on appearance without regard to Shepard as a character is just being petty. For the record, I think the opinion of 'random people on FB' is valuable. Asking which Shepard they find most appealing is helpful in that in for those who judge a game largely from its box-art (me included), it could help in some way. Besides, what is so wrong about picking which Shep we find most attractive?

For those who claim it 'doesn't match Shep's personality or appearance', must know that things like personality and voice don't go hand-in-hand (for those that do, I believe that's called 'stereotyping'). Am I the only one to hear a radio personality's or an actor's voice and then look up a picture of them and find myself surprised? As for personality, Shep can have different personalities (although somewhat in the same vein, but still)

Anybody who says blonde shep is a personality vacuum is simply put, an idiot. Obviously because Shepard is blonde she will become a ditzy valley-girl who will stop in the middle of a fire-fight because her nail-polish chipped. I can attach the same concept of 'personality based on stereotyped appearance to #4. Emo-hipster shep won't even fight the reapers because they will claim that 'I was fighting reapers BEFORE they got big and sold out.' and when asked what new enemy they're fighting their response will be 'Oh, they're pretty obscure, you probably haven't even heard of them.'

Okay, so I'm a little guilty of not picking #4 because of my stereotype bias, but at least I admit it.

To anyone who says blonde shep (or any shep for that matter) looks too young, in the book it mentions that Kahlee Sanders is around 40, but says she could pass for 20 due to the advances in health. If she can look half her age then I think Shep could easily get away with a couple of years.

Maybe if Shepard had a permanent artificial smile, talked in an unbearably high voice , and never blinked, then maybe I'd consider your notion that #5 is a barbie, but until then, stop being bitter.
