Don't know.

As long as that face isn't in the front of my ME3 box I could care less.

Don't nitpick over little things like that with Ryzaki, it's not like she'd spend five pages doing it to someone else.

Because you cannot use the face generator to produce the other options that were up for vote.

I liked them all, although number 4's haircut was pretty out of place for Shepard. I think the best one won.

I wanted the same one as fibchopkin. BUT defaultfemshep had red hair in ME1 and 2, so why not stick with that? Sure, you can change hair colour and such, but still.

Essentially because this is the face we will see on the trailer and the back of the CE box for those that get it.  She will represent femshep for the masses.

Its still only a reprentation of femshep though.  Just like sheploo is.  You know what opinions are like.  More so on this issue as people have many different views of femshep because they have customised their own since 2007. Everyone whos played her has their own unique opinion.

Still regardless I feel it shouldnt at all be an issue. How many people will play the new femshep anyway when they have their canon imports?

i actually struggled with all of the options - they all looked ... cool more or less, but none of them captured the mature commanding fem shep feel - they were just all hot chicks in armor with serious faces - more **** than bad-ass. i had a hard time trusting the fate of the galaxy to any of the options presented :/

and also, it seems odd that they would alter the fem shep "canon" face at this point?  but i suppose that's a moot objection :P

You can be the biggest badass in the world, but if you happen to be born with blonde hair, you are just a barbie.

You guys realize you talk exactly like racists, right?

I love how, overnight (at least for those of us here in Japan) this thread turned into a "the OP hates blondes" or, in some not so thinly veiled cases "the OP hates white/ aryan looking people and thinks we're all Hitler"

This is not the case. I don't hate blondes, and I certainly don't hate white people. I do, however, hate that women who look (somewhat, I definitely don't believe myself to be of supermodel status)like me have only very recently been acknowledged to be attractive in our own rights. Is it really so wrong of me to be disappointed that a beautiful woman of color was voted down in favor of, whether you like it or not, the traditional standard for beauty?

Maybe it is. I am human, after all, and I was excited to think that maybe the gaming community was ready to embrace a new definition of feminine strength and beauty, one that might possibly be attainable by women like me. I allowed for that in my original post- noone is above childishness or bitterness, at least I know I'm not, and losing sucks.

For all of you saying "it doesnt matter, create your own!" Yes, you're right. I said that too, in the original post. What makes me sad is that we have a FemShep face for the world to see... and she looks (again, imo) like almost every other face already out there.

I think this is the bit that quite a few people are confused with. What other computer game characters actually look anything like #5?

And that's a tragedy.  Because redheads are the personification of the word "awesome".

Redheads, on the other hand, do get teased a lot for the color of their hair as children, as opposed to blondes. Jews and people of African descent have been oppressed and killed. I don't think the world has completely recovered from that, and in that vein a bit of resentment is inevitable.

I don't mind that she's blonde so much as it's obvious she dyes her hair regularly, yet didn't even bother to fix her eyebrows.

Pretty much every ethnicity has been oppressed and killed at one point in history. However, this should not have any kind of influence on the design of a VIDEO GAME CHARACTER.
The idea is laughable.

Also, hair color and the color of the facial hair can differ. It doesn't have to be a sign of dyed hair. Different genes are responsible for that.

True. It's a game, and I know natural blonds whose eyebrows are a bit darker than their hair.

I chose barbie. I have no shame. Also, wasn't there a majority vote for Barbie on BSN? no need to blame just facebook folks.

and what women want argument is difficult for even a woman to use as most women(and men) don't agree with each other.

look at the clark doll experiment for ethinicity argument.

http://abagond.wordp...oll-experiment/

why is it we are pre disposed to choose a blonde white female?  why am I?  culture? ignorance?

I liked #5 because she manages to pull off looking both strong and feminine.

#4 and #6 both do that as well. However, I've always thought that pale skin was beautiful. Sue me, call me sexist, or whatever. That's how I decided #5 was my favorite. I won't apologize for it.
