There's nothing wrong if she is like Barbie in a sense. I mean, old Barbie, not this cheap new Barbie kids grow up with today.

Also, by the sound of it, Bioware just wanted our input for a BASIC design of how she should look. They still get the final say.

Like I said in another thread - I don't even like blondes! - but #5 felt like it captured the feel of the character the best. I won't be using her, unless I do a default playthrough for the lols, but she simply *feels* like she fits better than the others.

Edit: The first three all looked pretty much the same to me, and #6 just didn't capture my interest the way #5 did - so there you go.  I thought #5 came together really well as an image ... most of the others were just - bland.

People like me?  I wasn't out to insult any one individual, but since you seem to be, I should probably just stop replying to you.

Of course you aren't out to insult anyone personally.
You just said that everyone, who voted for a fair haired Shepard (or anyone who didn't vote for your personal favorite) is irresponsible.
I'm just confused for your reason to think that way. In my opinion, #5 looks nothing like a "Barbie".

because its the one she likes the most, therefore everything else is cliche because people on BSN throw that word around without really knowing what it means

I voted Blonde Shepard, because she looked like the last Shepard I finished the game with. The FShep #3 is somehow similar to my favorite (or 'canon') Shepard, but she has the wrong makeup.

Chell, Portal, raven-haired.
Bayonetta, raven(demon)-haired.
Chun-Li, Street Fighter, raven-haired.
Morrigan, Dragon Age, raven-haired.
Leiliana, Dragon Age, redhead.
Miranda Lawson, Mass Effect, raven-haired.
Ashley Williams, Mass Effect, raven-haired.

That's a lot of black haired chicks, actually. Maybe FemShep #4 is actually cliche'd.

I would have voted for #4 in a heart-beat, if her hair wasn't in her face. But seriously, #5 is cliche'd because she has blonde hair? Get back to me when she starts talking about shoes and pops her bubblegum. Until then, grow up.

You know, the blonde has NOTHING in common appearance wise with a Barbie other than blonde hair, seriously.

Her face is almost the EXACT same face as the other lighter skinned femShep options we had to choose from... she just happened to have blonde hair that was slightly longer.

I didn't vote for Blondie, I voted for the short haired one, but I didn't really care either way, because I was just very glad that femShep is getting some special attention and promotion. MY Shep will AWLAYS be the custom Shep I make. Sheploo has been the default male Shep for ages, and yet we still have PLENTY of custom maleSheps who seem to be getting along just fine with having their own custom Sheps that looks totally different from Sheploo.

As for saying she looks young... She is young! Shep is only 30/31! Humans in ME universe can live to be near 150 years old, so she has another good 100 years to go!

I am also trying to figure out HOW she is a cliche with blonde hair... The only other heroine figure in video games with blonde hair that I can think of is Samus...

It is just a hair color for a default character that is entirely optional and that will only be on a few pieces of promotional crap and the box cover. Lets just be glad she is going to be there at all and stop worrying about her hair.

Yeah, I was actually going to make a post like this but was too lazy. I can't think of a single blonde female that is the main star of a video game. I think the closest one would be the blonde from Uncharted but she's just the sidekick of Drake. Buffy kinda counts but she's more of an iconic television character that had games based off of that.

I think it's great that Bioware is going to promote the FemSheps with a fair haired beauty. I say well done, Bioware.
