Again, looking at that, I don't see it. It being how Blondie can't be taken seriously as Commander Shepard.

Its like people are complaining for the sake of complaining.

WIN.

I'm only annoyed because blonde hair should by all rights be extremely rare 200 years into the future.

That's a myth. Alleles for recessive traits will not become less prevalent because of outbreeding, not unless there is selection pressure against that trait.

Suppose you have starting conditions with 100 million blondes in a population of 10 billion humans. If you match them randomly for a number of generations, you'll end up with 1 million blondes in 10 billion. That is comparatively rare, but
(a) it's not so ultra-rare that the appearance of a single blonde deserves special mention.
(B) It won't happen in 200 years. 2000 would be more like it.
© This presupposes that people won't engineer their children to have blond hair, which I find very likely.

Apart from that, I'm OK with blonde Shepard, though I'm still hoping that they take the haircut but recolor it red.

I have a low tech word for you: peroxide. There are no alleles for blue hair in the human genome currently, but I see someone with it almost every day.

*SHOOOOM* Look at that, the point completely rocketted past you at Mach 8!

Seriously though... wtf has that got to do with anything Ieldra just said?

22 pages of complaining about Fem!Shepard being blond?

Reaallyyyy? Wow. O_o

I mean...I have my own FemShep, so I couldn't care less about the look BW gives me for her. Also (while not ME but) my canon Warden is blond too and she seriously kicks ass.

Why hasn't Bioware made all of them presets? Then we can all be happy. However, we will probably get another rant thread about how A.) Blonde Femshep was earned by the community and should be the only option beyond customizing or B.) None of the femsheps are fitting, and in fact, look like manatees.

You forgot C.) Why does femShep get more presets than maleShep? (since they need all the old femShep presets as well for imports)

My biggest beef with the competition wasn't the blonde Shep, it was the competition itself. Never ask fans what they want because the average fans opinion is usually completely arbitrary and generic! Bioware, you're the professional game designers and concept artists, you decide what's best. If you ask the fan what they want then every game would have 4 player co-op and horde mode regardless of whether it fit or not.

Ben Croshaw couldn't have put this point more perfectly,

"Fans are clingy complaining dip****s who will never ever be grateful for any concession you make. The moment you cut out their shrill tremulous voices the happier you'll b
e for it".

Whilst I dislike the fact that this poll was conducted on Facebook, I completely understand why ot wasn't done on BSN, as a marketing strategy it would be a text book case of preaching to the converted.

Regardless I'm okay with the one chosen.

If the blonde is also the default femshep in the game, I'll simply switch the the hair to red and I'm all set xD I seriously hope we get all options as presets.. The malesheps would have to live with it, or, bioware needs to make some additional male hair styles. Maybe the #5 hair style could also be available to malesheps xD lol...

Bitter much?

The fact that she has fair hair does not makes her a Barbie. Only people with a head full of clichees and stereotypes think that way.

Hint: People like you.

Goodness- that's a lot of anger over a post that was in no way personal.  I married a towhead, my kid's the most beautiful thing in the entire universe- and he's as blonde as blonde can be, but if it makes you feel better to think I was attacking you and all the other blondies out there, by all means, go ahead.

It's very easy to back out of it like that but you basically labelled anyone who's a blonde as a walking cliche. You have every right to do that but don't be surprised when you get the backlash.

ps: I'm not a blonde.

Since default probably can't be changed, I hope all the other choices are presets. That way (assuming 5s hair is available normally) you can just take one of the others that has the same face (and a lot of them do have similar faces no matter how you argue against it), give it that hair and change the color.

There, blonde "problem" solved. And before anyone gets up in arms, I put problem in quotations for a reason.

Ok I posted this somewhere else as well, but I feel the need to repeat myself. I have a blond family member who was a cheerleader in high school. Seems to be the definition of Barbie right there, yes? Well this particular "Barbie" has sharpshooter certifications from the US Army. Feel free to call her a Barbie, but she'll happily hand you your behind at 200 yard, if only on principle.

They might not all be available as presets, since the whole point of the poll is choosing which FemShep for the ME3 trailer. We might only get a single new default... Not that I mind, since I have over a dozen Sheps ready for import (M&F).

I'm confused. Who did I insult? I told a story about someone I know. I apologise if someone felt insulted or threatened. I'm not sure how they would, but this is the internet. Anything is possible.

Relax, no ones insulted or threatend. I just can't stand those bs "oh if you said that to someone I know she'd kick your ass". It's a pretty poor way to try and win an argument or assert your point.

I know, it was just a suggestion so they can stop the controversy. Plus, I'd really like to play as number 3 and would personally be pleased if they implemented it as a preset.

To sum it up...

People voted for a blonde over all the non-blondes by a very large margin for no other reason than that the blonde is blonde. Therefore, those people are all racist. So we must hate blonde femshep, the poster girl for the neo-**** movement. The end.

I don't get why there is so much heat over a blonde shep. It's a face on a box, that's it. We all have our own vision of what she "should" look like, so just play that vision in your game.
