Will a blonde FemShep accidentally hit the Big Red Button and blow up the Collectors with 1 second left on the clock? Doomsday clocks always stop at 1, right?
Not always.
For james Bond it stops at 0:07, for example

I'm more than happy for femshep's face being "pretty" (I voted for blondie) and I completely agree that femshep shouldn't have to have a jaw more manly than Jimmy Hill's in order to be taken seriously. The main thing is that she's mentally strong and intelligent and has a physique that's built up enough in terms of strength, muscular endurance and agility to meet or surpass N7 requirements (I think they nailed that with the armor physique but not necessarily with some of the out-of-armor models); but her face, hair, makeup and girliness outside of that is another thing. Now I know some people might be against the implication that you need an impressive physique to be a hero, and that this may be seen as an example of masculanising a female hero to be taken seriously, but in the case of Shepard, she obviously has to meet whatever the requirements are for an N7 soldier (she has to lug around quite heavy equipment for extended periods of time, and potentially fight large aliens in hand-to-hand combat, etc.).
Lots of very physically strong people, male and female, aren't particularly bulky though. Lean muscle works just fine in that regard. FemShep should not lose her muscle tone, and suddenly have a body like Witcher 2's Triss. I would balk at that myself. I'm just talking about her choice of hairstyle and facial appearance. FemShep can be "girly" without losing her edge, and in fact it can enhance her edge. And a strong, toned woman can be every bit as feminine as a soft curvy Playmate, if not more so.
I agree and I'm one of them;
In any case, I wasn't suggesting Femshep should be "bulky"... I'm saying her physique should reflect whatever the requirements are for an N7 soldier - as I say, I think they succeeded in doing that with her armor model (to me her physque there looked bulky enough, lean enough and agile enough, and overall balanced enough without going to any extremes) but I do think some of the out-of-armor models were inconsistent with that (the medical one and the dress one, in particular, look way too waif-like to me). It's not a particularly big deal though - I mean, I kinda suspend disbelief when I see how her physique is different from one casual outfit to the next!
Anyway, like I said, "her face, hair, makeup and girliness" are seperate from how physically/mentally strong she should be, so I was agreeing with you that those things shouldn't have to be masculine, and that's certainly something I'm fighting for as well. Sorry you though I was aiming my post at you, specifically - I was just joining in with the discussion everyone seemed to be having.

Having said that, I imagine Shep doesn't only train her muscles for strength; I imagine she does a combination of strength/endurance training (but only takes that to a point that's useful to her) and muscular endurance training (i.e. running around with moderate weight all day - say, 20-30kg like the SAS).
Well, Shepard is cybernetically enhanced too, so ultimately you can't make any real judgements about strength just by looking at size. Some of those muscle tendons are not natural, after all.

Dress me up, make it tight, I'm your dolly
You're my doll, rock'n'roll, feel the glamour in pink,
kiss me here, touch me there, hanky panky...
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"
I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation...

Good question... Are they still taking in votes for Femshep? I can't wait to see a full trailer like the Blur stuff done for ME2.

I prefere the rounder facial structure of pic4 with the hairstyle of pic5,
would look good in black, hopefuly all these things are possible via
the character creator, no hate for blonde here, couldn't care less.

Maybe not cybernetically but genetically. All Alliance personnel (especially special forces) are given Alliance packages containing genetic augmentations.

Me to. I like #3 the most out of all of them. Part of the reason is because she lookedl like my infiltrator character and the other reason is because she looks more military and badass out of the rest.

This is very unlikely as Bioware will now focus on the one face.

Blondy wasn't my favorite choice from the poll, but you know what? People are going way over the top with the drama. So I added a banner to my sig.
I wasn't planning to make a sig against her, but you know what? You people sicken me, so I went ahead and made one.
