There is
so much wrong with this article. So let's rip it apart:
I am a girl.
How is that relevant in any way?
I like my ladies to have character, originality and a bit of attitude
And how exactly does haircolor factor into this? Are you saying that by changing my Shepards haircolor, I can suddenly expect to see dramatic changes in his characte, originality and his attitude? I'm guessing you already know the answer to this.
As soon as I get my grubby mitts on Mass Effect 3, I’m importing my
custom-made Shepard, who I spent hours lovingly sculpting into a Goddess
of the Stars. But as Shep 5 started gaining the lead by a sickening
margin, I felt the rage face activating.
Then why even bother with this article and/or wasting your anger on such an infantile topic, if you aren't even going to use the face? I'm using a CustomShep, and I have
never complained about having to stare at Sheploo a single time. You should do the same.
... this will be the first in a long time that such a well-written,
kick-ass female hero will be brought into the spotlight – merited not
for the size of her dirty pillows and the tightness of her tramp-stamp
jeans, but for her ability to dominate the battlefield, unite humanity,
and stand up in the face of intergalactic adversity. So it breaks my
heart that the mass public have gone for such the wishy washy, Barbie
faced personality vacuum that is Shep 5.
And her having blonde hair will somehow also transform her armor into a pair of tramp-stamp jeans and get her dirty pillows? And you're still claiming being reasonably attractive and having blonde hair will vacuum personality out of the character? That makes as much as claiming that Sheploo's face is consuming all of Shepards character, because he's a modelfaced prettyboy.
The modern day world is already so much more culturally diverse than
yester-year, so why don’t future representations reflect this? Isn’t it
about time that the cliché of a blonde-haired, blue-eyed pin-up was
fazed out?
Blonde hair is rare in Mass Effect. Do your research. And since when does having a non-blonde haircolor suddenly make you more "culturally diverse"? That's right, it doesn't. Stop tossing such accusatory and, frankly, pretty ****ing judgmental **** around.
When you’ve got thermal bullets zinging over your head and Garrus screaming in your headpiece, you need to be able to at least see
what the hell is going on – something that simply isn’t achievable with
those straggly bits of hair flopping in your face. Trust me. I have an
irritating fringe, and I can barely see the screen right now
So you're admitting to being bimbo-haired yourself? This entire article suddenly took a turn for the self-hating department. Long hair has never been a problem in terms of combat-ability - otherwise Vikings wouldn't have been so dominating.
Please, boys and girls, I implore you. Don’t vote for Number 5. Vote for diversity. Vote for originality. Vote for personality.
So Ginger Winona Ryder has more personality, diversity and originality than her blonde-haired counterpart? How, exactly? The superficiality this writer posesses is appalling.
And lastly: I voted for number 5. Deal with it.
