What we need, here in Japan, are an official update, which is missing over three months from the start, and attention.
I just like to see the proof of BioWare really working on this issue. Because no one think it takes over three months to fix just a single DLC which already done in any other region and even on the other console in Japan long time ago. We already paid for that broken DLC but still no update for the promised fix so far.
The situation here in Japan is terrible for earnest Mass Effect fans like us. Just a little official update on the progress really relieves us all, especially from the guys at BioWare themselves because EA Japan support just keep saying they are the ones to be blamed for this delay. which I doubt naturally.

The inquiry to EA was performed repeatedly.
They traced the fact "there is no telling how much take" over two months.
The fact of "being still under correction" was revealed at last over three months.
It seems that EA is not somehow considered so although we regarded ourselves as his being a customer.
Even if it makes an honest inquiry at such a company, in that it is not helpful, I think that it does not change at all.
However, others' eyes will be touched with some if it is here.

I'd like to know if guys at BioWare know what kind of issues we have in Japan. This broken DLC is just a tip of iceberg. We have got whole add-ons in trouble and missing.

Will four months pass soon?
Since sale is determined in the spring of 2012 as for localization of ME3, even if we would like to wait for correction of a bug, time is seldom left behind.

I heard EA could have lowered the priority of this issue. Is that possible? You guys really want me to hate you.

The priority regards me as it having been the lowest from the start.
Anyway, however the sales of ME3 (JP) may become, EAJ can impute responsibility to SEGA.

People on the net said that. Already four months past and there's no official update. less than four months left till ME3 release. We still don't have Kasumi nor Zaeed. I don't know what EA is expecting me.

You are not alone in this guys...
People form Czech Republic, Hungary and other Central European countries have simillar problems with the DLCs and not just with Zaeed and Kasumi, but with all of the DLCs - free and the paid ones. And no one from Bioware or EA is probably looking into this problem...
it makes me sad...

On this page: http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc there is literally said (for my country) in the description of the DLCs (e.g. Arrival - discription translated to Eng):
"Unfortunately we won't be releasing Arrival in this region. We are sorry for the trouble." so that's it... no DLCs for Central Europe...
I've tried to contatct the EA hotline, but the operator wasn't able to give me the answers right away. He said he will contact me as soon as he gets the answers...
Well guys from EA and Bioware you know that these steps you have taken so far are just encouraging people who play ME2 on PC to download the game's add-ons (and please don't ban me for saying this) pirate style, the illegal way? I'm not one of them because I would really like to get the DLCs the official way and GIVE YOU MY MONEY for it. But I can't... and I think I'm not alone.

One could hope that EA will release an ultimate edition like they did with Dragon Age: Origins where the dlcs are on another disc. That way gamers in those regions without the dlcs can access the story and game (eventually).

@Hawlas
I sympathizes with you. --
Japan may be in a still good situation.
Because we can get full achieve both import and contents grasp,if we use $500 more.
(Those who are deceived by EA in money among us are not so)
I appreciate your reference.
It was convinced that being alienated are only us.

@OBakaSama: I agree... and I hope something like that could happen soon.
@koopon: The best things is that probably no one knows where the problem is. I have called the EA hotline but wasn't told anything. After that they have sent me an email that the problem is on Microsoft's side, because they do not offer the DLCs on the XBOX Live network and suggested contacting them.
When I contacted MS Czech, they told me that they don't offer ME2 DLCs on XBLN in Czech Republic because EA offers the DLC only via Cerberus Network (oh really?) so that I should contact them for support.
So where's the problem... no one knows...
Well I've resent the email from them to EA again and now I'm waiting for an answer. Hopefuly I'll get some information...

It sounds familiar...
EAJapan and MSKK played the dodge ball of responsibility for eight months.
Now we know only that we can ask about KASUMI dlc to EAJ.
But others? none.
I hope you will get enough answer without any accidents.

@Hawlas: Sort of the same situation in Japan few months ago. MS and EA blame each other and you get nothing. I feel sorry for you and It's good of you not to try pirated ones. I didn't know people in Central Europe had the same problem. I'm glad you post and let us know and share the information.
ME2: UE could be possible. But, for me, time is already run out. Even If it's not possible to release DLC, it could be okay for me because what I wanted was just an answer, in either way. But even that seems too much for them in my case. All I got was only a terrible support from any of these companies involved since this happend, except for MS support of USA. Now I officially hate EA, BioWare, MS Japan and even Mass Effect itself! ...but wait, this long hate list could ruin too much of my gaming life! Who should be blamed?!

Today EAJapan made a statement that BioWare don't care about DLC Issues on ME2(JP) anymore.
That's nice! Finally I am able to say "Thank you BioWare, EA and MSJapan!"

Since the distinction was made for payback MS point, I have satisfied.
The mystery what EA was doing half a year remains.
TBH I want to see EA contents never again.

EA Japan just announced that they won't release any of DLC for xbox 360 in Japan, including now 5-month-old broken Kasumi DLC promised to be fixed. They stated it's because BioWare just ceased any of their development and support for Mass Effect 2, though EA Japan kept asking.
The announcement was made just after my last post. I don't believe the reason they said. If you wanna know why, read my past comments.
I guess this, not releasing any add-on for xbox 360, was the dicision EA had already made at the time of ME2 release. But they didn't disclose it deliberately untill this late. Because if they reveal there's no DLC planned earlier, everybody trades in their copy to the retail and no one buys it. On the other hand, if they release every DLC on xbox 360, no one buys PS3 copy because you can't play ME1 on PS3.
If this was a sales promotion they created to sell PS3 copies(including future planned ME3), or they just simply couldn't afford because of the financial situation, I won't argue with that part. I know video game business is not just a fanboyism. I respect any of business dicisions they have to make even if they have to ignore small install base or fans.
But I believe you have to come up and show customers the fact honestly. That's how You take responsiblity in business. You just can't lie to your customers or fans. You just can't drag them with false reason for nearly an entire year, keep lying about your future DLC plan.
I think there's a line between skilled business person and crooks, and you crossed it wrong way.

It's an answer of sorts, but definitely not a good one as far as I'm concerned. Players will now miss out on the story dlcs bridging the games, assuming they will purchase ME3 after this.
What happened to Kasumi though? I know you mentioned that it was available to purchase and it was broken, removed, but no fix was released. Care to shed some light on that, Samurai?
