Sorry if this is stupid (probably) but I've been trying to create my own variations of purple grade weapons, but viewing them in my saved game file using the GFF v4.0 editor shows no clear way how to extract the weapon entry so that it can be used as a default configuration of this weapon in the future.

Is there another source for the uti's? A different tool to use? Or am I just daft? Thanks!

Hi Apathy, I'm at work, so I might miss a bit, but I'll give you the steps I use.

1. Find the uti name by opening up the save game
2. Write the names of the uti files you're after down, you'll need to refer to them
3. In the GFF editor, go to file, export. Choose "designerresources"
4. A list of files will open up - find the names of the uti files you are after, and check those boxes
5. Hit export, and export them to a new folder (I'd suggest a folder on your desktop for easy access)
6. The uti files can then be edited by opening them in "tlkeditor" (see http://social.biowar...7/index/6970703)
7. To put them back in the game, use "erfpacker" from the same link. Drop that in override and you're done!

hmmm.... I don't seem to have proper names. Thanks for getting me this far. I might just export everything and sort through it.

Nope  Seems the uti's end when the filenames start making sense.

You need to import the filenames. The pyGFF project page has a dowoad called "fnvdump." Follow those instructions.

You may have posted something that may or may not have been obvious to some people... but, Ish?
You just made my day :o
