Man Hawke doesn't either. Usually it's Varric yelling about traps. lol

is that a bug or is it just bioware hating on PS3?

I seem to recall Lady Hawke once shouting about traps so maybe it is a bug... or I have a shoddy memory...

I remember someone here in the forums saying that this is a PS3 specific bug. 360 and PC do have the battlecries.

Maybe Hawke is the Silent but Violent type?

Neither my male or female Hawkes have ever said a word in combat or when dealing with traps. It'd be cool if one of the Bioware folk could let us know whether or not it might ever be fixed.

I'd wager that, no, it probably won't be fixed.

So maybe if one of the Bioware dudes/ladies reads this thread and maybe wants to pop in and let us know whether or not this is at least being looked into that would be really cool.

Yea thats what Ive found on all my playthroughs. In combat neither female or male Hawke have shouted things in combat. I was kinda wondering why I saw it on vids but not on my playthroughs. Nice to know is a PS3 bug but it would be nice if they could fix it.

You think so? It seems fairly small compared to some of the other things they've fixed... and they're looking into fixing sound up in general I think so maybe they'll get this at the same time?

I always wondered why my Hawke was so quiet! At least I know now that it's a PS3 specific problem. Seems like a script connection error of some kind... like it's just not triggering, since the audio files are there. Someone nicely uploaded all of Hawke's battle cries on youtube. Fun to hear, but made me even more bummed to find out what the game's missing. Lots of funny lines in there! I really hope it gets fixed in the next patch.

The fact that no one from Bioware has even acknowledged it doesn't seem like a good sign. They've been pretty cool about keeping up with bugs and whatnot, but maybe they don't think a PS3-specific problem is worth the resources they'd need to devote to fixing it.

Not the end of the world, but different battle cries are supposed to be a feature of the personality system (which I really enjoy) and it is a bummer to miss out on part of it.

i really wish a dev would tell us if this bug will ever be fixed or not. I know its something small..but still. I dont want to be running into traps. Its bad when my Hawke is a rogue but its easier to have another rogue in the party to go ahead cause Hawke doesnt say a thing when a trap is ahead -,-

Okay so I'm not the only one. Has anyone approached anyone from Bioware directly about this? I don't think it will be that big of a deal to address it.

Yeah what a let down... The patch was probably to prepare the game for the new DLC... I've noticed that happens a lot now with updates, instead of issues, it just preps the game for the new content.

I don't think BIOware has even read this thread., Glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed that hawke wasn't saying anything during each battle. "Warden senses tingling!!!!!"

I guess BioWare's just going to pretend this problem doesn't exist. Not even an explanation about why it can't or won't be fixed. Disappointing.

I was hoping it would be fixed by now, apperently its too hard to patch it. I just wish there was at least some writing over my hawke's head when there are traps at least!

So annoying.

It can't be all that hard, can it? I just really want to hear my Hawke say, "**** Stealth attack!!"

Its not all that hard, its all that annoying. Like when there is a trap behind a door and enermies byhind that door to a small red light on the ground isnt the first thing i notice.
