This showed up in the wrong Mass Effect forum three days ago; I was just scrolling down to see if I had missed anything there, and saw the below:

I've installed ME2 on my DELL Latitude laptop with Intel Graphics card (No NVidia).
Has 4 GB RAM, 64bit Window, i5 processor with Directx10. Upon installation, launching ME2 shows following error

"Failed
to initialize the physics system. Please ensure you have an updated
version of the PhysX System software installed". I checked for Dell
drivers and only available drivers are Amegia Physx 7.0 and one from
NVidia. But none is compatible with my laptop.

Is it that I can not play ME2 or still I can install some patch from Bioware/Microsoft which can help me play this game?

Like all other games with any real 3D intensity, ME-2 requires a real video card.  Intel can't handle making one of those.  Sorry about that.
