Please tell me that isn't all of them since A. We have no party member who specializes in both tech and biotics and B. Jack was romancable and better liked than Jacob.

I'm really, really upset at the lack of Jack in a story where we fight Cerberus since if anyone should put a bullet in TIM's head, it's her.

If I were to guess I'd say "Of course not". It'd help a lot if we knew what article you were talking about but frankly, I don't read russian so I couldn't check it myself. But let's be serious. Why would a Russian site have this kind of information when popular gaming sites have none? It's obviously false..has to be.

thread discussing the article - the link to aforementioned article is in the OP. the article itself is a rewrite of game informer plus some of the CON info. badly done rewrite full of assumptions and misrepresented information. no, I didn't read it through google translate, I'm actually fluent in Russian

World of advice.  do not take anything said by Russian media as gospel.  ever.

Yeah, plus Legion when we already ahve both Garrus and Tali seems like a waste unless he's one of the optional ones.

I wouldn't trust an article based on speculation, opinion, and for those not fluent in Russian the chances of a lot of mistranslations.

Legion is probably only a temprorary squadmate or just an NPC from what we know. Garrus and Tali are most likely the optional major squadmates, considering they can die in ME2. VS, Vega and potential other new characters will make the core required squad.

Confirm? No. I wouldn't trust the RuNet. They jump to conclusions too soon.

But I read it (I speak Russian, k?) and it's... well. I wouldn't call "COMPLETE BULL****" on it either.

I really don't think we should use the term "permanent squadmate(s)" with ME3 anymore. It has been implied by BioWare that the squad mechanics in ME3 will not work the same way as they did in ME1 and ME2, which basically means there won't be a fixed set of squadmates -- which, in turn, means just about everyone is equally possible to be a "permanent" squaddie.

I think by that they meant you will encounter former squadmates who might help you out for a mission or two, hence the name temporary squadmate, but Liara, VS, Vega, and possibly Tali and Garrus will be permanent.

That's not exactly what I meant, but yes, it's another way as to how this could work.

To be perfectly honest, the squad described in the article makes sense, but there are quite a few things that absolutely
must be mentioned here:

First: 3dnews.ru is by no means a gaming site. Sure, they publish a lot of game-related material, but overall they are much more tech-oriented.

Second: The actual source of the information is never mentioned in the article, so this could very well be an educated guess worded as a fact.

And third:

This might turn out to be true, but I wouldn't get upset/happy just now. I would wait for something more credible.
