Here's some more.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) - buggy, bad, and just plain dumb. Had two good songs, though.

Sonic Unleashed - buggy, racially offensive, doesn't feel like a Sonic game. Had some good music, though.

Sonic games always have awesome music. ^_^

That's just subjective opinion.

That pretty much sums up any thread like this. And as we all know, opinions are like a.... you know what. Everyone has one and they all stink.

With games the problem is that games vary as much as opinions. If a person who loves a certain type of games (say fps for example) goes out and buys an rpg this person might then feel it was a waste of money and the game was bad even though both critics and players love it.

I think people should mention games that were REALLY horrible, not just games they dislike for changing something in a series or being the wrong genre for ones taste. The debate of Darksiders somewhat confirms this, someone doesn't like it because it copies things from other games, others like it because it was still well made. Does copying stuff from a game make it a waste of money? No, not necessarily and definately not for everyone.

Modern Warfare 2 - biggest disappointment ever! Horrible plot that probably dropped my IQ.

Splinter Cell Conviction - generic shooter with generic plot and characters and with most annoying thing ever, you hold key for cover!!! Oh wait, that's also had to be STEALTH game!

Crysis 2 - WHAT THE F*CK CRYTEK?! Even graphics are worse then from first 1! Oh and ofcourse stealth is a joke now, no use of maximum straights outside of long jumps and occasional car kicking and losing energy while sprinting since maximum speed is toggle when sprinting. Oh and no prone option.

I agree on that. Modarn Warfare 2 was not a good installment for Cod games. Just mission after mission without any clear stroyline and so on.

I agree to a point. I wouldn't say every COD game, just every COD game after MW1.

Edit: And I have a good feeling you've never played a single COD game ever......

Any Capcom game. Capcom has a fasion of re-releasing their games multiple times. The most recent example being Marvel vs Capcom 3. MvC3 is a game that had a decade of hype, Capcom had a huge fanbase that wanted their favorite character in the game, of course they tried to keep the roster and slowly revelaed the characters. Many fan-favorite characters that had been part of the vs series since the beginning were put off in favor for newer ones. The most requested character Strider Hiryu was not a part of the game because he "didn't fit in with its concept." When MvC3 was relesed it did so with the bare minimum of what can be called a game, with unbalanced gameplay, and poor online. It was released in February 15, 2011 and Capcom will re-release the game in an "Ultimate" Edition. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will release in November 2011, 9 months after the Marvel vs Capcom 3. When first announced the first character they demonstrated was Strider Hiryu, the character everyone had asked for. They have done this several times before and I would not be surprised if we a third iteration of Marvel vs Capcom 3 next year. Capcom has done this countless times before and show no sign of stopping. I have come to the realization that complaning won't change anything and this will (hopefully) the last I speak of Capcom.

The Force Unleashed. That game had you return to every map twice to apparently save production costs. The lightsaber fights were horrible because they zoomed out so far you couldn't tell what you were doing, and the animations looked like two 5 year olds hitting each other with a stick.

Infamous. I found it to have a boring story, lackluster gameplay, and uninspired graphics.

Gran Turismo 4. The game took 5 years to develop, but was average at best. Gran Turismo 3 was actually better because it had more races to enter.

CoD 1, 2 and 3 were alright. MW1 was meh'ish, MW2.. also meh'ish. Not bothered with any after that.

Personally, I'd say Red Faction 2, probably the worst story I've ever played, the "geomodding" (blowing up walls and such to open up new pathways - original RF you could blow through anything to create your own path) is so badly scripted it basically doesn't exist (and that was one of the selling points), and the gameplay was perhaps the only remotely redeeming feature.

Star Trek: Bridge Commander - a decent enough game, even had voice activation (if you could find the program to download). Crew AI sucked, and specific ships - specifically the storyline enemies largest vessel - were so badly overpowered in multiplayer there was no point trying to fight it. Manual control at least went some distance toward making it amusing if you have absolutely nothing better to do.

No I actually have. I played MW1, WaW, and Black Ops. All of them are exactly the same. The campaign is exactly the same aside from different environments and different weapon names, and online is complete poop.

Don't assume (I would say the reason why but it's inapporpriate)

No I do. I meant the current generation. But really I was done with war shooters a while ago. It's all the same overused and crappy formula. Not just Call of Duty.

Grand Theft Auto: IV.

Weak storyline, game mechanics, and it was no fun. Saints Row looks like it's the spirtual successor to the GTA series I knew on the PS3.

For me, here's some of the games I bought and wasn't happy with.

Saints Row 2 - Can't explain it.. just not really into Saints Row all that much I guess. But I ended up actually getting a profit from it from Gamestop. I bought it at a local store for 30 dollars used and sold it to Gamestop when it was Most Wanted for 35. So, not too bad.

Far Cry 2 - This one was mentioned already, beautiful graphics, huge world, but why is EVERYONE shooting at you? It's annoying and the controls are clunky sometimes.

Saints Row 2? Madness! Great game. Can't wait for The Third. But glad you made a profit off not liking it. I can't say that about any game I disliked.

For me personally,

Oblivion (TES 4)- People really hyped it, and I played it for about 5-6 hours and at that point I had something of an epiphany. I wasn't having any fun, the gameplay was boring and repetitive, the dialog was awful and the dungeons were of the played one played them all variety. It just felt like an empty dead simulation of a world. I decided to play it a bit longer, I heard about the Brotherhood and Mage guild quests that were supposed to good, but I found them mediocre and by then the level scaling for the enemies was starting to bug me too (I stopped using weapons because I got tired of fixing them). I finally quit when I sealed my 15th Oblivion gate and realized they managed to make a hell dimension boring.

Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader- This was the last game I pre-ordered, and I pre-ordered it on Black Isle's reputation. To their credit, Barcelona was okay, but then the game turned into a bad linear Diablo clone. I did manage to beat it though.

Diablo- It wasn't bad, but after one playthrough I got all I could out of that game. I don't mind grinding for loot per se, but not for an entire game. With its static plot, it didn't merit a subsequent playthrough. It reminded me of Gauntlet, which was another popular game I never really liked.

I've found it hard to get into Oblivion also. I got bored of it very quickly.

I can't believe that people would list FFXIII and not FFX-2. That has to be one of the worst video games in creation!

Infinite Undiscovery is pretty poor too, as well as having an idiotic name.

Far Cry 2. And I'm a big fan of the Far Cry franchise. But that game was so bad it's not even funny. It had a lot of potential, but obviously missed the mark.
