Do the guards live in Viscount's Keep?

I've noticed that there's beds and such in the guards' area, so I was wondering whether they live there full time, or just sleep there sometimes when they have a late patrol or something. I need to know for a fanfiction.

Since it's fan fiction? You can do what you want with it. Maybe it's also possible that reserve duty stays there waiting to be called in emergency? It's not really explained in game that I can tell. Safe bet is at least that the on call guards stay there and that it can also double as an infirmary.
Edited to add. It's also possible the entire area is just to keep the guard out of site of the nobles as much as possible. The beds? I dunno but if it's like any other place. They like having security but they tend to try to keep the security out of the eye of the higher society. Doubt Kirkwall would be any different. We also don't get to see a lot that is the keep and other buildings. So there could be a huge dorm for all the Guard much like I'm sure the Templars may have. I don't believe it's ever addressed about either Templars or the Guards about their living arrangement options.

I would guess it works like a Fire house, the beds are there for long shifts and people who are on reserve duty. I don't think anyone lives there though.

Brennan mentions she was running the satchell to one of the Outposts during "The Way It Should Be"... so I'm assuming there are many other places the City Guard actually are stationed around Kirkwall that we don't see. Actually it makes sense that the Barracks rather small size is because its just where the Guards who protect the Viscount are stationed, and its considered the headquarters simply due to the proximity allowing the Guard Captain to quickly recieve orders directly from the Viscount in an emergency.
I'm going to suggest that there's also one in Lowtown, which is how Aveline kept spying on Hawke during Act 1.
