Hi - I'm currently shopping for a cheapish laptop which will run Mass Effect 2. I've found this HP Pavilion dv6-6001sa 15.6" Laptop which has a quad-core AMD Phenom™ II X4 P960 Processor and a 9600M GT graphics card, with 512 MB dedicated memory, and 4 GB of ram.
So - will this run ME2?
Apologies if there's a specific thread for these issues .
WIll this laptop run Mass Effect 2?

Laptops really aren't supported in the game. 9600 is a fairly old card, and add that to the laptop issue, and it is 50-50 at best. You might be able to play at lower graphics and with an eye on heat build-up so you don't fry your computer. Yes people do play on laptops but they ARE NOT DESIGNED TO PLAY GAMES. Personally I would buy a nice tower comp for gaming and then a laptop for everything else you want to do.
