I just picked up DA2, and I am looking for a class that will allow for quick, fluid combat.
I played a mage in DAO, and I was not happy with how much I had to micromanage in the mid to late game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Which class requires the least micromanagement?

Literally every class is easy to play in DA2, that's what BioWare aimed for in the first place.
If you want the true hack'n'slash experience, go for the Warrior.

I will have to take a closer look at the warrior, thanks.
I guess I am not averse to difficulty, just tedious menu hopping

Play a 2H warrior. You're resilient so you can suck up damage plus when you get swarmed by waves of enemy you can just use scythe or whirlwind to insta-kill like 3296236 guys.

If you have the Black Emporium DLC, you can buy a potion called Maker's Sigh that will allow you to redistribute your skills (and attributes).

Warrior is the best class for minimal micromanagement especially if you set up tactics right (speaking from nightmare mode where tactics are par for the course).
This game has difficulty modes for those who want to play for just the story and those who value tactics and challenge.

I would say warrior except on nightmare where their AOE abilities can end up killing your party if you don't babysit them or have great tactics set up, especially 2H warriors. If you're set up well, a DW rogue requires the least micromanagement in nightmare due to lack of FF abilities and the strength of their auto-attacks.

For a hands free rogue set up that works very well look in the compendium link; companions section; near the bottom of the list; Isabela.
