Look, not all of us can afford HDTVs at the moment so it'd be really cool if there was an option to have readable text on standard TVs. Maybe something in the options menu to change the font size?
Please no microscopic text.

Yeah, the text is too small.
I can read it just fine on my 42 inch Flat Panel, but I shudder to think how impossible it would've been to read it on my previous TV-
A 13 inch Standard.

i actually have a solution, if you play on an xbox and have a good computer monitor you can hook it up, it fixes the problem relatively (at least for me), and the parts are pretty inexpensive 10 bucks if you dont have the wires...message me if you actually wanna try it...i feel your pain my tv is tiny

My TV is bigger than my monitor, probbaly has better resolution too. I appreciate the sympathy though. Just recently played the DA2 demo and the font in that game is even smaller! It doesn't have better resolution if you can't read the letters.

I never had a problem with this playing on my SD TV. GTA IV's 2 expansions however had text that was completely impossible to read on the phones.
It's definately something game developers should keep in mind, especially since there's no disadvantage to having larger text. I suppose, since the game is presumably always tested on a HD monitor it just gets overlooked.
