I bought DOA ultimate edition (digital version) on the origin website which is linked to this site, etc. So I got the license key out (from the Origin programthat you download the game with) and registered my game on this account and then signed onto my account in the game and it told me I dont have any of the DLC and that each DLC would cost so many bioware points. I then proceeded to figured out what was going on. I went to this page: http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php and it gave me a list of apparent DLC that I have. I have NOT purchased dragon age 2. I have bought dragon age origins ultimate edition. That is the game I have installed. However, the DLC listed on that webpage is listed as all dragon age 2 content as well as mass effect 2 content (
Of Things Not Lost, The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall, Lothering's Lament) Did Origin give me the wrong registration code?! WTF is this? Where is my DOA DLC? Anyone else having this issue?

Those items are bonus content for other BW games that you received for having purchased Dragon Age Origins. They were not given to you by mistake. Your DLC for Origins should appear on the same page further down. If it does not, make sure you are entering the correct code. If that still does not work, contact EA support directly at support.EA.com as they are the only ones who can resolve that kind of issue.

I have the exact same issue. Bought the deluxe edition(download only) from Amazon, activated the game on Origin, and activated the dlc on Bioware's site and it's given me a bunch of dlc for DA2 and Mass Effect 2. And only 2 dlc for DAO: THE STONE PRISONER and the Dragon Armor.

I've used my EA account for both so I don't know what is going on.

The Deluxe Edition on Amazon appears to be the original Origins game only.  Stone Prisoner came with it.  What you're looking for is the "Ultimate Edition"... which is currently retailing for $8.99 US.

I have the same issue. I purchased the Ultimate Edition from Amazon (my invoice lists UE), but when I redeemed the game code in EA's Origin there was no option for the UE, only the standard DA:O in various languages.

My invoice on Amazon specifically states it is for Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition.

My DLC promo code (for some armor and something else) redeemed fine on the website; however, my supposed UE key tells me it is invalid for the UE registration, it did register fine for the standard edition, which isn't what I paid for in the first place, though. >.<

Amazon states the download is roughly 12.5GB, and I have what's listed on my EA Origin as DA:O standard downloading 15.5GB roughly. I'm hoping once launched it actually is UE.

//Update
I contacted Origin, who told me to contact the seller. I used Amazon's "call me" option and should be receiving a new key within a couple hours. Hopefully that redeems accurately.

//Update 2
The 2nd key was no such luck either. Back on the phone with Amazon. =/

//Update 3
Hoping to hear back from Amazon tech support (issue was escalated as 2 keys both yielded same results) by Monday or Tuesday.

Yeah I meant the Ulimate Edition.

Now I tried to register as the Ultimate Edition on Bioware's site but it said invalid.  However it worked for the regular game, so it looks to me that Amazon screwed up by giving me a non-ultimate edition code. :mellow:

I had these exact same issues. I haven't solved the DLC code problem, but EA support was able to give me a new code that finally let me install the Ultimate Edition from Amazon. The original code and the replacement Amazon tried were both unsuccessful at allowing me to install the game.

I haven't tried to contact EA, yet. That's my next step if my escalation to Amazon's tech support doesn't pan out. I should hear back by Monday or Tuesday the rep said.

There's still a lot of information missing that could help others to help these people better,  Some basic elements requested in the "Read First" sticky would help.

That said one thing that helps is to check http://social.biowar...es_register.php (you'll need to scroll down to the bottom) which is one of the few places to properly check what you actually have, e.g. if you go to the "Games" drop-down at the top of the page, you will never see "... Ultimate Edition" there.  All DAO flavours would show as "Dragon Age: Origins".  When in http://social.biowar...es_register.php if you see next to "Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition" in your system format it says: "Register your game" then there is indeed a FUBAR from 'them' and you'd need to contact EA.  If it says "Click here to remove registration" then you do have it and there's (probably) something that you' ve missed or not done.

http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php will not directly state your Dragon Age Origins edition/version but you can make a very educated guess based on what's shown there.

Many people who post about the originally stated problem don't give enough information and then complain when they don't get a result!  Posted Image

And by going there and trying to register the Ultimate edition using the codes we received, it gives us that the code is invalid, and works for just DA:O... They gave us the wrong codes.

If you've purchased your game from Amazon like I did, they're now aware of the issue and have pulled the option to purchase the download edition. They can't do anything until EA re-opens around Tuesday.

Bought the Ultimate Edition from Amazon as a download, same DLC issues. Sucks that this is affecting so many people. :-(

It appears Amazon has sorted the issue. I received my new cd key a little while ago which did go through properly.

Yeah same with me.  I'm happy Amazon was able to sort this out.

Hi everyone. I think I'm having the same issue. I bought the download for DAO UE on Amazon and there were problems with the activation keys.

Amazon support was closed when I tried to handle this, so I settled for Origin support.

Did the new keys Amazon provided function properly? Did they activate on Origin properly, also?

Yea, Amazon's keys were sorted. If you received a new one automatically some time yesterday afternoon or today it should be the newly generated correct key.

Also, if you activate the game and download via Origin, you can play the game without Origin actually being on. I just used it for the fast download.

I had the exact same issue today with my Ultimate Edition digital purchase via a Finnish store (http://www.discshop.fi) today. I tried contacting their support and will also contact EA regarding this. What a pain, hopefully I will get a new DLC code from somewhere. :(

Heh, EA responded with the proper key really fast via the support chat, where as the seller of the product nor their 3rd party support never replied. Go EA! My problem is solved. ;)

The trouble continued slightly, as the newly unlocked content still showed up as "Unauthorized" on my account and I was not able to play them. However, I modified the addins.xml file so that all of the occurrances of "requiresAuthorization = 1" were changed to requiresAuthorization = 0.

The addins.xml is located at (or similar location):
"C:/Users/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings"

Pheof, hopefully I can now finally enjoy the game experience.
