Technically the Reapers 'brainwashed' them first by introducing a suble coding error into their programming.

No, technically, that's dead wrong.  Legion tells you multiple times that they CHOSE to follow Sovereign.  If it were "brainwashing" then ALL the geth would have gone over instead of just 5%.  What you're talking about is what the Heretics were planning to do to all the other geth.

I'd apply the subtle coding error thing more to the rachni really.

Why?  They're not robots.  They have brains, not code.

You'll have to translate coding error to brainwashing or whatever, but rememebr the rachni queen stating that some sour yellow note took a hold of her people and caused the war.

They wanted to end all organic life and sided with the Reapers by choice. They wanted to rewrite the relatively peaceful Geth. The Geth function as a hive mind and are showing signs of developing individuality. Does anyone really think that Legion used a piece of Shepard's armor to cover a hole?

I fail to see how rewriting them would be ethically wrong. If anything, destroying them would be a waste. Destruction is only an option if you plan on ridding them from the galaxy at some point.

Your basically brain washing a portion of the population of the geth. But its still has more humanity in it then the outright genocide option but neither option is right if your talking morals.

Has for the side affects outcomes who is to say using the virus differently could bakcfire but could make the true geth look at you more favorable that you brought their people back instead of whole scale butcher, has on the other hand butchering them eliminates the chance the virus would muate and turn other geth into something else has they interlink when they go back to the true geth.

That "sour yellow note" could be ****ing anything.

Tell me this: if the rachni were Reaper servants then why didn't Sovereign know where the Mu relay was?

Originally I rewrote them, but then I regretted my decision because of what I read in the Shadow Broker's files on Legion. 1. Legion, for lack of a better term, feels that using decorum around organics is tantamount to slavery, and 2. One of only two achievements he got for GTA was an award for killing a lot of quarians, so although it's the renegade option, I'm going to have to got with genocide for one reason... He doesn't seem to want peaceful coexistence with the quarians... I think secretly the geth (non heretics) want to subjugate at best organics... It really makes me question the moral scolding I gave to Tali in ME and ME2.

They could have found a indoctrination device which is what soured their note. And since the Reapers probably aren't singers the rachni couldn't really have found Soverign and pledged their allegance, so Sovereign wouldn't have known the location from them and after the Korgan "wiped" them out, the location was thought lost to everybody. But who knows, theres not a whole lot go to on so it really could be anything... maybe a queen got drunk and started singing while hung over...
