My old PC died.
Luckily I had my save game files backed up on an external hard drive.
I re-installed DA2 on the new PC.
I moved my old character file to the Bioware/DragonAge2/characters file on the new PC.
However DA2 is not offering me the option to load the old charcter. It only shows a few saves I made with a new character to test out the install.
I know I have the right file, because when I make a new test character, it's file appeares there.
Any ideas?
Fresh Install on New PC not recognizing old saves.

Did you copy a file or the whole folder?

The whole folder, but I've also tried moving files into another character's folder to see if I could load them that way, no go.

Make sure the file structure remained the same (i.e. Characters-->folder with character's name-->game save files. Also, did you switch from a 32- to a 64-bit OS? It's vaguely possible that might cause a hiccup. If the files are in the correct location, it is more likely that something is wrong with the files themselves.
