Well the PC version was able to to unlock a 3rd person mode with a "Borderlands tweaker" as long as I can do the same in Borderlands 2 I'll be good.

The one I tried didn't work all that well. Not sure if a better version came out. But still I'm hopeful.

This game would be awkard to me for third person. I'm perfectly fine with first person.
Unless Zero and that bland looking guy has a power that really wows me I already know I'm gonna be a gunzerker first that is just awesome.

I'd love to be able to play in third person. I just want to be able to see Maya, I didn't know there was a mod for the PC version to enable this.

I am not entirely sure of the Phaselock power, but it might just grow on me. I watched the preview video and it worked better than I thought it would.

I doubt anything's going to top phasewalk. That was insane. At the top level with all the DLCs you could have all the bonuses for it and you could kill people just by phasewalking past them (enemies with shields anyway). Once you got out of phasewalk, two kills or so and you were back in. That's only a few seconds where you actually take damage. But wait, I'm not done. You had insane damage reduction a few seconds after exiting phasewalk.

There was pretty much no way to even kill a siren in Borderlands 1.

Not only that but if specced right Phasewalk also gave you superhuman speed and would heal yourself slightly.

Gotta admit I'm excited for this game too, need to see how the other 3 classes play before I can become truly excited, but the guns, the class powers and the new enemies certainly look outstanding.

Hopefully we get another arena/gauntlet mode in this game similar to the Underdome from the first game too.

Makes me wanna finish Borderlands 1 but man I can never find anyone interested in playing the whole game through.

Neither could I, and the game had horrible problems with hacks (people could affect your game with their hacked items) so I didn't play with randoms. Works fine solo though.

Playing Borderlands alone is very boring to me and...sad.

Borderlands is like Left 4 Dead in that the game sucks if you play it by yourself.

With friends it becomes a hell of a good time.

I played it fine by myself. Its grindy but still playable. The changes they;re making should make BL2 a better single player experience.

Randoms suck.. Just the other day I played with someone who horded everything. I didn't even get too look at the weapons because they just ran ahead to grab everything if they didn't need it.
Half the fun is getting new weapons otherwise why am I here? I rather play solo than deal with that.

That's one of the reasons I dislike MP/co-op (in any game), selfish pr*cks and those who are just after kills and loot.  I had a great time playing Borderlands in single player mode.  The only time I played co-op (off line, mind you)was in the Mad Moxy DLC.

Well that was a rare occurance to be honest but still the people who tend to act like idiots just makes me ugh.
I host my own game when I'm playing now and I have one rule that I name the server and that is be cool.
Its rare when I get people joining but I prefer that over trying to find a host that doesn't suck.

I remember a friend dropped one of his guns(his favorite) so I could take a look at it.

I picked it up(which got him super nervous) and then walked up to one of the machines where you can sell weapons.

Oh man, he was getting so antsy it was hilarious. Our other friends playing online with us were laughing so hard.

No worries, he got his weapon back.

I just read that pre-orders for BL2 have now surpassed most Take Two games in history. Only two GTA titles have sold more. That's an impressive figure for a game that's not really considered "midnight release" material. I am exicted about this game. WUB WUB!
