Keller - I think the Dead Reaper one is one of the best in the series.

A question, if instead of 500 units of The Team had been 800, you think that now would be in store?, I think the problem is not quantity but quality, SR2-Prototype lithography think much has slowed sales because he has not finished to like. Shepard´s good lithograph in an edition of 1000 units sold in less than an hour, we bet?ShepardOsiris wrote...

Actually as of 23:40 MDT, only 152 lithograph packs have been sold. Only 135 went up for sale at each release point, not 150. Likely 15 in each group have been held back for replacement packs. So some 13 hours after the initial release of these lithographs, there still remains 648 signed and "limited" prints of each lithograph. Or in other words, even after the typically highest sales period has passed for these two lithographs, there are nearly as many prints of each lithograph still in stock than the entire print runs of Saren, Illium and Citadel combined.
At this point, releasing an unsigned version would be beyond idiotic, there is no demand. Considering only 356 Purgatory lithographs have been sold at a $30 price point in the near 10 months it's been up on the store, there is a good chance these two could literally spend years on the store site. Where exactly are all these people that demanded a higher print run? And if the goal was really to give more people a chance to buy the lithographs, then why was the strict "1 per customer" limit lifted?
I did not purchase these, nor do I plan to. I don't think any part of these recent policy changes from Treehouse were handled well or in the customer's best interest, and I'm thrilled that sales were so slow. I hope that continues, because a couple more releases like this will unquestionably force the store to consider it's tactics and how it treats it's customer base. It may also be the only way they open thier eyes, because many of us have been posting here, trying for some time to get the store to listen without success.

I do agree that quality does play a big hand in this, but it must also come hand in hand with quantity. I would've thought that the majority of us are collectors and not just your average fan. As collectors, there is a huge appeal for something that is limited, which creates that demand to make things sell out.

Well, what if they ALSO announced releaseing unsigned, unnumbered versions of the team in the same size for cheaper, on top of the 800 signed. I highly doubt all 800 would have sold. the thing that bothers most people is the fact that they are making the unsigned ones the exact same size, on top of making a rediculous amount of signed ones. its just too many for the signed ones to have any sort of value, so most people are waiting for unsigned.

That's a good question. Possibly not, but I'd imagine some would be annoyed at having to pay $80 + shipping for a not so limited Team litho with a print run of 800. Now imagine if they had also decided to print an unlimited amount of unsigned Team lithos at the 39x22 size. That's the mess we find ourselves in now.Elmasmister wrote...

I don't think that to be the case. I actually really like the art of this batch of lithographs and was planning on ordering both of them up until a few days ago. That's when the decision that they'd be putting out 800 of each was revealed. This, coupled with the fact that they'd also be offering unlimited unsigned ones at the same exact size, has turned me off completely.

Don't let our resident ebay profiteer troll having chimed in fool you. Judging by the responses in this thread most of the people peeved off at Treehouse's decision have been genuine collectors. The sheer amount of lithographs being offered has completely killed their collectibility. It's ridiculous to be expected to pay “limited” prices for lithographs being printed out in a near unlimited fashion.

I'd cancel my order for these two as well except I guess you have to do it right away and I waited too long.

Yep; these are the last lithos I'm buying at release. As long as they are selling 800 signed + god knows how many unsigned there is absolutely no reason to buy early at full price. I'll be waiting until I can get the two packs for cheap. Maybe $40 for both.

I'd suggest opening a support ticket and providing your reasoning for wanting to cancel. Many of us have been voicing our concerns on this forum about the store's new policies to no avail. We need to let BWS know of our dissatisfaction through as many communication channels as possible. It certainly couldn't hurt to try.

No matter what, someone somewhere isn't going to get the litho they wanted. And when they complain, what's Treehouse gonna do? Up the run to 1000? 1500? It's a slippery slope, if you ask me.

It's worse for ebay scalpers because the value of these are very low with such a huge supply. So if an ebayer scalped this within the next few months, they'd barely break even, if that, after fees.CDRSkyShepard wrote...
Ebayers will probably actually benefit from the increased run. With more items available, they were more lax with the one person rule. I didn't see all the big fuss about it in the store as with the last releases. If that's the case, then the ebayers can buy up stock and sell it. I don't get why people think an increased run will be worse for ebay scalpers and better for us who actually want to buy them. Sure, they could limit to one per person again, but is the demand really there for them to be able to totally sell out as they have in the past?

Ebay fees and Paypal fees amount to about 10% of an items value for high dollar items and about 17% for lower value items (under $50).

Put the litho in your cart. Update the total to something ridiculous. That'll tell you how many are left.
Update to something ridiculous do you mean add a lot of stuff and update or keep pressing the update button a lot while the litho is in the cart??

I missed out on the last couple lithos because THBS professionalism (not including customer service Ms. Domino!) seems to be on the decline and it just wasn't as appealing as it used to be to try and get a limited run litho. Between the repeated packaging shenanigans and store oops's I've lost a lot of interest in buying anything.
On a side note I don't mind the additional 300 limited run prints because I still think that 800 out of how many hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of Mass Effect fans is pretty limited but everything else getting kind of ridiculous
Sorry if I'm not making a whole lot of sense, it's late! Give me a break! =)

Everyone had an equal shot to all the previous lithographs. Despite a lot of whining, the lithos were released to everyone and everyone had the same chance to get them. There were no favorites. I don't see how increasing the run to 800 made it more democratic. If anything, it just makes it less valuable.

My biggest issue is still is that whoever is hosting the purchasing servers clearly aren't capable of dealing with the ordering server load and *can* cause folks to miss out on a purchase. Hopefully this extra money they are making on the increased run and pricing will go back into the servers and/or software used for taking orders. I missed out on Miranda and Tali lithographs because of server load issues.

Heck out of all the games you ever played, how often do you check it's news network. I LOVE Mass Effect, but I never check the Cerebus network. To most collectors, rarity of an item is what drives them to buy. If there were 1000...2500...unlimited print runs on Lithographs, I really dont think there would be the same drive or urgency to buy them straight away.
Anyway there's no point going on, I guess only time will tell to see the results of the Dead Reaper/SR2 Proto run and where they go from there.
