You mean you are level 36 at the end of the first playthrough? No chance, you need to be mid 50's. You need 862k total XP for level 60.

My first soldier playthrough hit the level 50 cap. When I went through with her a second time she got to level 58 with only Saren to go.
If the cap hadn't been there I might have been able to do it in two playthroughs but I wouldn't want to bet on it.

You can do it in two if you don't have the 50 cap and you have all XP bonuses.Mr Zoat wrote...

The final level alone requires as many XP as the first 48 levels put together.

Actually you can...but it takes having both DLC's and getting out of
the Mako at every opportunity to do so...and doing every mission and
side mission....I found this out the hard way when my XBox account went
boom and I had to start ME from square one again....gnrgnrgnr...[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png[/smilie]

After slogging through 3 characters to get them to 60, one of them 3 runs, the others 2, I broke down and looked up a method to increase the XPin the mako to 100%. Initially it's set to 40% exp.
Without tweaking the settings, its still possible but you have o do pretty much everything in both playthroughs. I did so without getting out of the mako to fight, but I found every single thing I could scan on each planet.
Oh and I only have BDtS, not the other DLC
