I was super sad after killing him...I have no idea why we couldn't just explain to him whats going on. He seemed pretty reasonable, start with some small talk; Dumat; and perhaps lead into some golden city mumbo-jumbo. He was a festering pot of knowledge that would have greatly helped the narrative. Also Janeka is super bi-polar when she first confronts you shes like: "We were wrong about Corypheus he's a living breathing thinking feeling darkspawn, a medium between the 2 factions" but then the next dialouge is all along the lines of: "After we show him our affection we'll shove a stick up his ass, bind and gag him, and force him to kill everything for us"

Whatever at least hes's still alive in that fancy grey warden body that has 3-20 years best (depending on who you side with) LOL
Anyone feel this way?

he'll probably remake the body into the form he had before you killed him.

No it was probably in the best interest of everyone if he had stayed dead.

Eh he seemed like a he'd be a blow hard even when he wasn't confused.  The first thing he did was start ordering my Hawke around like a peasent.

Also hard experience has taught my Hawke that people trying to get the "power of the gods" are usually about to go crazy and attack.

A body hopping, ancient magister, who is still hanging on old glories, that a prison was built just for the sake of holding him. Yeah I'm sure nothing bad can come from him roaming around :P

I know how you feel. He was one of the original magisters and there's so much knowledge on how the world of Thedas used to be like that he's sitting on. It's probably healthier for the world around him if he was dead, but screw the world, he's interesting. I also regret killing the Architect.

to be fair, he thought he was still one of the most powerful men in the world.

I'd have to create a whole new character from scratch, because my canon Warden would never ever let Archie live, and I'm not about to import any Orlesian into DA2, so that character would have to run through the Origins campaign as well as Awakenings. Roleplaying is srs bsns.

Dude attacked me and called me a peasant, now the bourgeois can feel the might of the proletariat!

Was interesting, bit on the crazy side for me though. Then again Janders ain't exactly all there either.

Exactly, imagine this guy roaming around the world, thinking its his right to just tear the blood out of someones body on a whim or he goes back to Tevinter and tries to get the band back together. with the added benefit of being able to control Darkspawn and Grey Wardens. That's a dangerous man to let walk around.

99% Corypheus is not dead.

Probably he has possessed the body of the warden that is with you at the beginning of the fight. The process is similar to what archdemons do upon their death.

Remember what he said: "If I can't leave with you I will leave through you". Another thing: leave has the same pronunciation of live, so "If I can't leave with you I will LIVE THROUGH YOU".

Look it up, Joe! [/reference joke]

Er, anyway, Corypheus probably did manage to survive. That total shift in the way the the Warden-Commander acted is proof enough for me that he did the whole body surf thing. That one will probably come back to bite us in the ass someday.

Those sneaky, punny magisters.

I really, really hope we get to meet him again. Begs the question, which host body would be best suited for him? Janeka is cerainly the healthier of the two, but Larius looks way cooler.

Does Hawke not **** something up in this game?

I hope it's alluded to in the next game. Because the dude/dudette is just. . .a screw up across the board.

My only concern is that we don't see him again because Bioware doesn't want to include somebody who was DLC only or if we do it's only some small mention.

I get the impression that Corypheus wasn't serious about actualy winning the fight with Hawke but he was using it as a cover for when he hopped into Larius/Janeka. Easier for him to leave and do his thing if people just assume he is dead.

Of course we will see Corypheus again. He's got far too much potential for villainous deeds for BioWare to pass up. Legacy simply serves as an introductory for this villain. He will reappear.

I want to see him with a hurdy-gurdy when he reappears.

Actually, I just want to see a hurdy-gurdy in Thedas. Period.

At the risk of feeling like an idiot what the hell is a hurdy-gurdy?

I definitely want to see more of the talking darkspawn. Especialy Cory, but also the Architect and any of his surviving disciples. They are an enigma, the only ones with the potential for shades of gray in an otherwise Always Chaotic Evil race.

Personally, I could care less about the Mages vs. Templars (they're both wrong). DA3 should be about these guys!

Well considering the origin of the darkspawn (magisters, tevinter, golden city etc...)  both storylines could be connected.  The mage vs templar and the darkspawn don't have to be mutualy exclusive.

So we play as Wardens again? Not necessarily the Hero of Fereldan but as a warden?

I definitly would not want to play as the same warden again but a warden may not be a bad choice depending on where they take the story.  Personaly I want them to finish up Hawke's story as I felt his story was still hanging at the end of DA 2.  Of course future DLC or an expansion might take care of that.
