Its the Ancient Rock Wraith at the Deep Roads Expedition.

It has way too much health for me to beat it, and for some reason my 2 ranged damage dealers always die to something, whether it is AoE dmg or the ball thing or something else, i have no idea what to do.

My party is 1 Ranged Rogue, 1 Mage, 2 Warriors.

The second phase (when he has the shield) is by far the worst part, but it can be avoided completely if you dish out enough damage to him as he's reforming prior to the start of the second phase. I just turn off most of my companion's attack tactics prior to this point so they aren't in cooldown, and just hit him with everything when he's the rubble pile (you still need a warrior or high dps rogue to take out the little profanes). Using a combustion bomb on the rubble pile helps as well. I also try to always have the Staff of the Primal Order on a mage with Elemental Mastery. Do enough damage and he'll go straight to the second energy ray phase. I had a very hard time with it my first two playthroughs on Nightmare- I've done seven now and it's much easier once you take out that phase.

The ARW is surprisingly easy. Beat it down a little by spamming single target powers on it like mighty blow, winters grasp, that kind of thing. Very soon it'll teleport itself to the center and starts charging up an attack. Set your party to hold position and move all of them behind a pillar so you don't take any damage. After a while the attack is over, and the ARW needs to recover, in the meantime it won't defend itself nor attack. Now it's time to strike. Have your mage use firestorm on it, if he/she is a hexer, use those too. Have Varric use rain of arrows and all his other specials on the ARW. 1 of your warriors should focus on the ARW as well while the other hits the profane that spawn (those will be dealt with by the firestorm/rain of arrows but still)

Once the ARW recovers you should have dealt enough damage for it to immediately repeat it's special attack. Hide behind the column to recharge health, mana/stamina. Once the attack is over, repeat the same strategy. The battle will be over in mere minutes.
