Other options seem great too -like new char, with new races, as qunari.
My only and most precious wish: that Hawke disappears from DA universe. I wont play any game as her/him on the main role.

Warden: Don't really care if they impose a voice on him. Some note their Wardens are dead or that his story ended with the Blight. If Bioware has a story and can have the "Warden Commander" fill in for any dead wardens, fine. I think one of the reasons people pine for the Warden is that the romantic subplots (Morrigan, Alistair, Leliana, Zevran) were more compelling than the main plot and those (especially Morrigan) can feel unresolved.
Hawke: While I didn't like DA2 as much as DAO, I still liked DA2. I didn't connect to deeply with Hawke because I didn't have to make tough choices for him. I've found it's the decision-making that gets me into a character's head and makes me feel like the character. That said, I don't see Hawke as "ruined". If used in a later game, I think he could be more compelling in that game than he was in DA2.
New Character: I assume this is what we'll get. And I'm fine with that.

Hawke may be the main character in DA3. After all the work they did trying to brand the franchise with Hawke being the main character, they may just run it out. I would be fine with them doing this, but my gripe is this. In the ME series, the story is about Shepherd. Sure, you have the galaxy and the Reapers and all that other stuff... but, from the first time you picked up the controller, you were creating your Shepherd and shaping and exploring the world with that person.
In Dragon Age, we began exploring the world as a BUNCH of different people... a Dwarven commoner forced to fight in the Provings. A Dalish elf exploring some mysterious ruins. A mage confronting demons in the Fade.
The WORLD was what we experienced, not a character. And the concepts of The Fade, The Black City, The Blight, The Chantry, The Dalish, The Wardens, The Circle... these were the things we became attached to, not the character we were playing as themself.
So that's why I say I don't really care who is in the driver's seat for the next Dragon Age game. I'm more interested on the destination and the sights to see. Because if we get to explore Tevinter and see how things work with the Magisters, I don't care if Pac Man is the main character... as long as I can choose to make him a mage, I will be ecstatic.

This is one of the things that worries me with Alistair been king-warden and a friend of mages. I wish Hawke could go back to ferelden and take the blame.. I lov Alistair and The warden's...
OR a new character who do not have ties with the Chantry or templars, it can have family members in either organization however, just for spice

The choices were already very limited in DA:O I was dumbfounded when they streamlined them down even more.
I hate streamlining so much its making me want to quit playing games. I also can't stand how popular Male Human Warrior is as a choice for gamers ... it is so overwhelmingly more commonly picked that the other racial choices seem insignificant to the developers now. You boring ... nevermind.

Just imagine if they reset the Child of Bhaals level at the start of BG2 or even worse at ToB. When a game is so centric about you being powerful. Nulling that power ruins it.

It would be nice to be able to choose a race as well (human, dwarf of elf). I do NOT imply another Origins story however, just for the record.

I think both the Warden and Hawke will play a role in DA3, though. They kind of have to, as do Flemeth, Sandal, the Wardens (including Stroud), etc.

I wouldn't mind having Hawke return, but I'd prefer a new character. Would like to hear what happened to the protagonists of the first two games after they disappeared, though.

After that, New protaganist is great. I never want to see my Warden again or play a new Warden. Doubly so after seeing Legacy and seeing what a Warden starts to look like after awhile.

I want my warden Back. It made more sense that she/he was powerful than it did with Hawke. At least the warden was strong because of the darkspawn blood but Hawke was just a regular person whom out of nowhere became a super hero, then why didn't everyone else in Kirkwall do the same?
For the same reason we all haven't discovered penicillin, painted Mona Lisa or crossed the Rubicon?

Hawke or a new character. I hope we never see the Warden again personally.
Agreed.

I'd be happy enough to play as Hawke but only if the appropriate LI companion was also there (Fenris in my case).
Playing the Warden or Hawke without the appropriate companions is not what I'm looking for so if it's to be all new companions, I want an all new character... can I be an elf please... although not one of the ugly ones.

(I am excising the DAA expansion from my memory, as it COMPLETELY ruined one of those enings for me. Alistair was no longer in the warden's good graces after that.)
That being said, I would like to see the resolution of Hawke's story, particularly as Varric indicated that there was more to it.... But NOT if Bioware "tweaks" any of the companions (like was done to Anders from DAA to DA2). Can't you just see them changing Varric to a holier than thou proponent of dwarf isolationism or something equally out there? Phbbbt.
