Hi everybody!
I tried finding a similar topic before creating this one, but had no luck.
So, I think pretty much every Bioware fan agrees that a great source for their success is the deep characterization of the companions in each game.
With this in mind, there goes my question: which DA universe companion do you (or others) think you're most like?
In my case I think I'm a lot like both Aveline (the somewhat tough front, unshakable loyalty and the williness to do anything for those she loves) and Alistair (his sensitive and sarcastic sides).
Which DA companion do you think you're most like?

Varric. I'm constantly narrating my own life and other people's lives, I love trickery, heists, and good liars, and I'm constantly thinking about adversity in terms of how good of a story it will make.

Avline best tank in the whole game

Who's the ugliest of all DA companions? I'm that one.

Oghren.
I'm like a cherry soaked in brandy. Plump... juicy... and full of intoxicating flavor.

I loved both Merril and Varric.
Merril's devotion towards her people was admirable and varric was just plain awesome.

Shades of a few: Aveline (the sometimes rigid sense of right & wrong, plus the intense loyalty to friends), Oghren (I do like a good drink now and again and can be crude in my humor), and Morrigan (for the acerbic statements and leanings toward the darker side of things). If only I could claim the sultry demeanor of the latter. ;P

Mostly Merrill. Her social ineptitude reminds me of my own Asperger's. She's really smart, but obsessive. Her admiration for women she falls in love with borders on worship. Lots of similarities.
Sadly, I don't have a Welsh accent.

Unhardened Alistair with a bit of Sten, I think.
Odd mix.

I am the love child of Zevran and Isabela spliced with the social ineptitude of Merrill, the compassion of Morrigan and the pettiness of Velanna writ passive-aggressive.

Mostly Alistair with some Morrigan and Sten. Dorkiness, stoicness, stubbornness, and acerbic comments all rolled into one fun package.

Alistair. Nice guy with firm beliefs, but low ambition.

Odd indeed! I'm trying to understand how this is even possible. j/k
It's easy to relate to Bioware's characters because they don't seem to have black and white morals (even the ones that claim to have, sometimes act paradoxically), nor are "perfect", they seem more real.

Bethany and Aveline because of the "with great power comes great responsibility" attitude.
Varric and Alistair for the sarcasm.

Take a bit of silly, a bit of stupid and a bit of awkwardness from unhardened Alistair.
Throw in a bit of Sten quietness.
BAM
You have a DoC.

Take the way Merrill stumbles through words (or Mordin or Thane for that matter), and you have a look at my mind. I don't show that in my speech though.
Then throw in Alistair's goofy sarcasm and tendency to talk about flying dogs that are devoted to religion. But whatever it is people find take charming about Alistair, take that away from me.
Add some of Morrigan's snark, escalating word games and contextual defensiveness.
Finish with some Andersian pathos.

I'm like the awekening Anders(witty humor) mixed with Aveline(respect for the law) and little bit of Fenris(temper-wise) and Bethany

Probably Fenris, only with right wing politicians instead of mages, and Anders' self-destructive romantic idealism thrown in for good measure.

I'd say I'm much like Morrigan, except not as b**chy.

if you melted down isabela, zevran, and oghren, stirred them in a pot and then poured it into a me-shaped mold, it would be the most accurate jello ever. especially the drinking, questionable ethics masking a fairly decent person, and reasonably indiscriminate sex masking a deep yearning for meaningful buttpleasures

Probably Merrill.
I'm very socially awkward, and I stumble over words all the time, and answer things before I realize what the question was. Plus being a hopeless romantic, rather shy, and getting lost very easily. I also have foot in mouth syndrome, I rarely think before I say anything.
I also love hearing all the dirty things, even if I may not always catch the joke. Unfortunately I don't have the cute Welsh accent to make it sound less awkward when I ask about it.
The only part that doesn't fit is how sarcastic I am.

I'm going to say I'm probably Varric in that I admire loyalty, kindness to the underdog, like to create stories and I enjoy hanging out in a pub at the end of a long day. Probably my awkward side is more than a little like Merrill...
And in matters of romance I'm as bashful as Alistair and as playful as Bro!Anders from Awakening.
"All I want is a pretty girl, a decent meal, and the right to shoot lightning at fools..."

I have Isabela's love of innuendo, Merrill's social awkwardness when someone I like is in the room, a touch of Aveline when you make me mad and Sigrun's general disposition.
