I'm so complex I don't think I could narrow myself down to just one:

Morrigan's morals
Leliana's skepticism
Alistair's intelligence
Dog's hygiene
Zevran's humility
Sten's criminal record
Oghren's self-esteem
Shale's compassion
Wynne's open-mindedness
Anders' sobriety
Nathaniel's family
Mhairi's luck
Sigrun's career
Velanna's restraint
Justice's looks
Aveline's headband
Bethany's wit
Carver's perspective
Fenris' moods
Isabela's discipline
Merrill's wisdom
Sebastian's virility

So a little bit of everyone except Varric, really.

Oh come on, Shorts, you can't be bereft of everything except a headband, moods and a criminal record! Or maybe you can, in which case let's never ever meet.

Ok this post made me lol. *golf clap*

I don't think I'm much like any DA character, but the SO is a total Alistair only with more self-esteem.

And here I was thinking you had Varric's tendency to diminish things.

I'm pretty woeful at thinking of who I'm most like myself (and as Shorts so wonderfully put it, it isn't particularly easy to boil ones personality down to just one character from a fantasy game), so I asked my SO. Apparently it's Anders*, she considered saying Alistair but I can be a little camper than him sometimes.

I think I have days when I'm quite Fenris like too, and I wish I was more like Varric on a day to day basis.

*Bearing in mind she hasn't played DA2 yet, only Awakening.

If I were to describe her it would be as a cross between Aveline and Morrigan for what it's worth...

Alistair. Lovably goofy, prone to blushing, and an obsession of cheese.

And unicorns. We'll not get into that, though.

Aveline's loyalty with friends and family (and some times insecurities) but with Izzy's lulz. I like lulz and my lulz are usually in the gutter.

I like your lulz, Spawny. A lot. Maybe because I have a bit of Varric in me. :D

Except my aim blows.

I'm probably most like Bethany. Prone to worrying, indecisive and incredibly dull to be around.

Okay, so who was the nerdy mage in Witch Hunt? That's pretty much me, but in female form.

Aveline's loyalty and compassion for friends and loved ones, Varric's sarcastic sense of humor with the occasional mind-in-the-gutter comment, and Fenris' temper/occasional moodiness... I'm usually the happy-go-lucky type until you ****** me off. I have no patience... I'm working on it tho

Merrill for the whole socially awkward thing. Rival Fenris for his nasty mood.

I'd say that I'm a cross between Merrill and Anders, with some of Alistair's idealism thrown in for good measure. Though if I'd made slightly different choices in life, I could easily see myself becoming Isabela, almost in her entirety.

Just for added input, I decided to ask my husband. Apparently, I am like: "Alistair, Anders, Merrill, Isabela, and Sebastian," though he couldn't explain why. The Sebastian part horrifies me a little, but I'm telling myself it's his piercing blue eyes.

Even though mine are grey . . . <_<

Mhairi's luck

I felt this one was especially nice.

Definitely Isabela, minus the promiscuity and flakey-ness.  I share many of her world views and am often told by others that I have a highly inappropriate sense of humor.

Take Aveline, strip her of her law-abiding attitude, give her Fenris temper and grumpiness(so it's grumpiness x2), throw Alistair's goofiness, and add Izzy's distance, and willingness to turn everything into suggestion. Add Hawke's inability to keep his/her mouth shut.

One of my friends met Aveline in game and instantly thought of me. When he told me this, I clobbered him over the head, but later, I asked him why. He says it' because I usually run lawful good characters in our gaming group. He admits that he has no idea whether I'm like that in RL, since we don't really go around fighting crime. And that's the thing. The NPCs are products of a highly stressful environment. It's pretty hard to make a comparison outside of that.

I doubt anyone here is treating it seriously, berelinde. Fun's fun: t's like one of these "which breed of dog are you?"

You know you kinda proved his point cause clobbering over the head is something that Aveline would do  to Hawke or Varric  esp. Varric.

please don't clobber me Image IPB

I can have Alistair's goofiness and lack of assertiveness, Anders' mix of idealism and paranoia, and Fenris' grumpiness and large collection of wine bottles. ...Especially that last one.

Well, the character I'd most like to be like is Morrigan, and I definitely share some personality traits with her.

Heh. That was kind of the point of the joke.Image IPB

But apart from the clobbering (I'm not a violent person), the rest is true. I'm red-headed and big, which doesn't help, either.

Edit: And I know that nobody's taking it seriously. I'm not, either (see the stealth-mode attempt at humor above). The characters in the DA universe, or probably any RPG universe are kind of set up as extremes, so most people probably see a little of each in anybody.

Don't worry, we've noticed it.

That's one of the reasons I generalized everyone when I said "good to know you guys are having fun".
