Trying to buy a staff from the Quarter Master in Ostagar.

Sold some goods to get more money to buy it.

But the Staff selling price gos up higher beyond my funds.

Sell more stuff and then again the Staff price goes up ?

Still can't buy it.

What's going on here ?

Merchants sell stuff for more than you buy them, especially Bodahn. There are some useful tips for accumulating gold in the Wikia. I prefer to use the Junk method.

There's a couple different thing you can try. You'll get a fair amount of gold from quests, but there are a fair amount of items worth more than 100 sovereigns. There's also a gold farming page on the wikia with good tips on how to accumulate gold. I use the Junk trick-put a expensive item like Blood Plate Armor in junk, sell it to the merchant by pressing triangle and square, and you'll sell the item for twice what it's worth if you do it right.You might also do asearch on DAO Wikia for other things to try.

But I still do not understand why the price of a item would change while doing other transactions.
