Just picked up the game yesterday. In the starting room, when you move around I get a stutter every second or so. Its really really annoying and meant that after about 2mins of playing I've put the game down, hoping for a patch to resolve this issue before carrying on.

How many other people are experiencing this issue, did you find a way to fix it - and does anyone know if there is a patch in the works?

I am a couple of hours into the game, and I am also experiencing numerous small but clearly noticeable video glitches. Hopefully, something will come out to fix it. Doesn't make it worth putting down, but it is annoying.

Yeah the ps3 looks somewhat better than the 360 one, but damn the stutter.

Yes, it is extremely annoying. Gamespot stated the PS3 version was better, but I don't agree, after having played both. The 360 version has weaker texture work, but the framerate isn't just a little better... it's a lot better. Also, the sound doesn't crackle like it does on the PS3 version (you get a lot of that sound crackling during character creation).

What's really confusing is how the pre-rendered videos are pixelated on both versions of the game. I could sort of understand it on 360 since they have to make it all fit on a DVD, but the PS3 has Blu-Ray. Why is it also heavily compressed on that version?

Love the game, but I'm really disappointed in the PS3 version of it, which I picked up only because I was led to believe that it was the better version when it's... well... not. Bleh.

A performance patch would be nice, but I haven't any complaints about the sound. On my optically connected souround system the game sound is crisp and clear. And the stuttering is at times a little annoying, but I don't think it is bad enough to warrant putting down the game waiting for a patch.

And the good thing is that performance can be patched, improved textures on the other hand would almost require a patch re-releasing the game. And I am sure with the 2 year DLC plan Bioware got we will get a performance patch at some point.

Well, on my optically connected surround system I'm experiencing some irritating glitches while using DTS and Dolby 5.1. The sound pauses, meaning disappears, about half a second from time to time. Often while browsing menus, engaging in dialogue, or confronting hordes of enemies.

On Stereo, I get the same crackling distortion as the above poster - but at least it never cuts off.

And no, it has never happend in any other game, or movie for that matter.

And of course I have the same framerate stutter and chugging as everyone else. But, just as noruraeus, I will try to wield some positivity towards the future, at least for now. Here's to hope.

I've also had some cut scenes where ncp's are talking but there is no sound. Also little annoying glitches like people walking through chairs in cut scenes or holding a cup that is a foot from their hand, or sitting on a bed that is halfway up to the stomach.

Almost game breaking, but I'm dealing with it.

It does show a poor level of polish by BW that they let things like this through. It's blatently obvious most of the time.

BW we need a patch. Pleeeeeesssseee!!!!!!!!!!!

signing out of PSN does nothing for the stuttering, even though a few other people have mentioned that it helped. I have started playing now (as I can't wait!) but a patch would be very much appreciated.

This stutter MUST have been noticed during testing, so one therefore assumes they let it ship anyway. Thats a poor show in my book.

stutter is the least of this game's technical flaws.

you shouldn't blame them so much for stuff like this since it was bound to happen...

i agree it's a little TOO much for BW not to notice and fix but just like the elder scrolls series and almost ANY open world detailed game you will find bugs guaranteed...may not be as much as this game but there are some and i dont think BW should take the blame for it...

maybe just for the framerate issue and the sound issues for cutscenes but thats it IMHO

You should be ashamed of Necro-ing this ancient, ancient thread.

... and yes, the 1.04 patch improved frame rate for most people. It was a noticeable difference.
