priestly was also the one saying that the quarian in the initial ME2 pics was "not necessarily" Tali but could have been any random female quarian....to throw people off

It doesn't, people just don't know what "fan service" means.DarkDragon777 wrote...
How does having Aria in the game all of a sudden make the game a fan-service?

The ME2 icons were on a computer three rooms away. So they used an icon that was underhand right there and then. No need to speculate further than that, much less discourage Mr. Priestly to post here altogether. The subtle bashing alone he got for these three pages? He's a normal human being, who sometimes makes mistakes, sometimes makes assumptions. No need to demand stuff, people. Be patient.
Lying isnt a way to make us join his cause ....

Heretic! Leave this forum and take your common sense with you! That sort of thinking doesnt belong around here!

As a side note though, I'm very glad if it is another Asari, because it means we've finally broken the "only one Squad member per race in a single game" nonsense, even if it is only a temporary squadmember
Now we just need a female turian and a male quarian and I'll be happy.

Notice how Garrus was in the video, as evidenced by his model and the speech that pops up that says "GARRUS" In front of it. You clearly have no idea how to infer, or about the video game design process.BickDutt wrote...
God you people don't know **** about game design and it shows. Cosmetic crap like icons are the last thing devs add in the game. Have any one of you considered that the overall game is NOT as polished as the E3 Demo? Because it's just that, a demo? It is in no way representative of the overall technical progress of the game. I don't think devs give much importance about having the right icons for their experimental build. Notice how they also have an old "Garrus" icon too?

Sure it could just be a Cerberus outpost, but if it's actually Omega, it would make sense that Aria teams up with you. I'd like to think that it's the latter.

When I saw that Cerberus hangar, the first thought that hit me was: "Oh that must be the Cerberus hangar we see in the first page of Mass Effect Invasion." Cerberus have taken a serious blow, after all, and are conducting business with Aria since Retribution.

D. Silverman: "Hey Casey, I'd like to do an episode of Bioware Pulse featuring some of our unsung heroes over in level design. Is that cool with you?"
C. Hudson: "Sure, just make sure you ask Kris to show you some very early work which isn't too representative of the final product. Concept art is okay, though."
D. Silverman: "Great! I'll be sure to do that."
*two days later*
D. Silverman: "Hey BSN, enjoy this new look at ME3 level design!"
BSN: "ZOMG, is that Aria? :O"
D. Silverman: "oh shi-"
C. Hudson: "FFFFFUUUUUUU--"
C. Priestly: "dun worry, its k. Hey BSN, this is just placeholder art, don't get too excited alright?"
BSN: "Riiiiiight B)"
EXACTLY.

it may just be the placeholder textures but the color pallete from the concept art and the proof stage they showed suggests it cant be omega.

Hold on there, they still haven't announced a Vorcha or Batarian squadmate yet. When they do THEN it will be awesome.

Fair enough. But then there's, of course, the unfinished business Aria has with The Illusive Man and Kai Leng (if they were to ever take any queues from Retribution). Just saying that Aria is a very forward figure right now to not at least be some form of temporary party member. They did that in the last two DLC's after all.

wel the premis for the new mass effect comic series invasion is that aria has trouble with cerberus...
so i think its aria as a temp squadmate.
