I don't know, it was a little too fuzzy to be the real portrait. Although an asari temporary member could be really cool.
Maybe it's Matriarch Aethyta (the bartender from Illium), and you team up with her to get Liara. She gets killed saving the new shadow broker's life, and leaves with two parting phrases. To Liara, "It wasn't your fault. I left before I knew your mom was even pregnant. Then when I found out about you, you'd already left. I wish I'd seen you grow up." and to Shepard, "You take care of her Shepard. If you let her get hurt, I'll rise from the dead and kill you myself."
Or it could be Aria.

Aria makes sense because she is more high profile, but there are plenty of purple-ish Asari they could throw at us.

I mean why would they give her a serious voice actor in game and place her as a renewed enemy of cerberus. Also hating Kai Leng would be even furthering her hate and reason to join you.

Aria as a LI would be fulfilling.

With all the hype Aria's gonna get by way of the Invasion comics, I can see her being a big player in ME3. Apparently the final comic's release date was supposed to coincide with the original release date of ME3? Anyway.

I also see the tattoos.

 Is it me or Kris the Designer is really quiet charming? Don't know weather it's placeholder or nor, but color on the pcture obviously match that Aria's. BTW there's a "docking station 6" sign on the wall in the concept that i assume is on Omega...
