Regardless of your detailed summary, this sounds like it could be your GPU overheating.
Does this happen with any other game?
What driver versions have you tried?

For some reason I always see the 240 being listed when people have issues with the game crashing.
Six fans or not, I really think your problem stems from overheating. I've seen systems where the "multitude" of fans boiled down to one working fan and 3+ just sitting there because they've burned out for example.
Have you tried dropping your graphics settings (shadows, light points, etc...)? This would place a lower burden on the card.
When you CTD, are you still able to use your system or do you need to do a hard re-boot? Can you start up NWN2 again immediately after the crash and if so, does it crash again quickly or are you able to keep playing for the "usual" amount of time before it happens again?

when it crashes just drops to desktop i can start game right back and play for the an unset amount of time then it does it again sometimes the screen just flashes and it goes back to the game instead of crashing it

Hey cohab... unfortunately I really have no other suggestions other than the overheating GPU... it's been many years since I was considered a "techie".
For what it's worth, I think the fact that nobody else has posted any options here tells me either I've nailed the identification of the cause, or nobody else has an idea either.
If you open your case, you should be able to see the fans working to cool your system, including the one on your GPU itself. They could be caked with a coating of dust, making their operation intermittent at best.

A: the newest driver won't hurt (it works). B: if your case is open the fans can be less effective because the system is designed for a closed case so they may not direct the air as effective as they would otherwise. C: you've uninstalled and reinstalled the game to fix potential issues with that?
