We are holding another costume contest, this time to celebrate BioWare being at Gamescom in Cologne Germany. HOWEVER, you do not have to be in Germany to take part!

This time, we want everyone to be able to join in the costume fun, so we are holing the contest by video on YouTube. So it doesn't matter if you are in Cologne or Cape Town or New York or Tokyo or Edmonton or London or Moosejaw, anyone can enter as the contest is open globally.

What can you get if you take part? Well, the first place prize will be a $500 gift certificate to the BioWare store and a Mass Effect hoody signed by teh ME Dev team. Lots of other prizes will be available.

To learn more, check out my fellow Community person Erika Kristine on YouTube. :)

Gamescom is spelled incorrectly in the title.

Good idea, though "P.

Awww I really hope you guys are planning to do these again next year. I want to participate but there's just not enough time for me to get my stuff done this time around.

Hm, but I wouldn't have stood a chance against that incredible Garrus anyhow...

Bioware TV

Congrats to the winners!

To Chris/Marketing:
There seems to be no category for non-ME or DA costumes, though. I saw quite a few TOR entries and even one person who did a NWN costume, and it seems like the only prize they were eligible for was Best Overall? Maybe if you guys decide to do this again, you can either announce the categories in advance or make a new category for "other" costumes.

Also, quasi-related, for coverage of future cons can you post a schedule of livestream events, either somewhere on the Bioware TV page or here in the announcement forum? I mostly watched the Gamescom stuff pre-recorded because I had no idea when stuff was scheduled to broadcast. I think I did see a schedule screen once on the channel itself, but it would be nice to have a static one to refer back to when the schedule is not onscreen.

I feel an uncontrollable need to tease David on the "Morrigan in Dragon Age 2" line. Is that wrong?Posted Image

The video stops before it even takes off properly. David talks about the remnants of something and then it ends. And ugh, that BioWare TV portion of the site is sooo user unfriendly to navigate through, bah. Posted Image

Obligatory "If that's wrong I don't wanna be right"

And yeah a lot of the Bioware TV vids are all wonky and they're organized weirdly down on the bottom. Oh and also if I were in marketing I'd ditch the "reminding you to keep your fingers on the pulse" line with cheesy pulse-taking hand motion because it's SO CHEESY. Although I don't know if I recall hearing it in the Gamescom vids.
