Hmm well, after the reused areas and enemies spawning from thin air, it would probably be:

  • Limited conversation options with companions, and can only speak to them on a set number of occasions.
  • Large spikes in difficulty. If I could complete the first act on hard without any difficulty I should not have to turn it down to easy to beat the rock wraith. (That might just be because I'm not very good though). I haven't played Legacy yet, so I don't know whether it adressed this.

the most important thing is the STORY imported from DA:O DA:O A... with no major consequences to DA II
When I had taken first time a savegame from DA:O to import all my choices in DA2 I had took a look on plot summary and the next choices where listed ( I played as human noble man , warrior) :
Connor was freed from the demon. - NO consequence
Mages was recruited into the army. - NO consequence
Dalish elves was recruited into the army. - minor consequence ( miniquest in wounded coast)
Bhelen rules Orzammar.  - minor consequence
The Anvil of the Void was destroyed. - no consequence but i didn`t imported a savegame with anvil saved yet to see if there is any big consequence .
Loghain was killed.  dosen`t matter if I slain the Archdemon.
Alistar is the king of Fereldan. - minor consequence
The Warden performed the dark ritual with Morrigan. - NO consequence (in DA2)
The Warden killed the Archdemon. - save Alistar and DA:O main character .. but not give you anything in DA2
Vigil`s Keep was saved from darkspawn assault.  - a quest and some change in dialogues with Anders.
The Architect is alive. NO consequence
Warden`s Keep was reclaimed. NO consequence
Shale was discovered. NO consequence
King Cailan`s corpse was burned. - ok  O.o Whaaaattt ?
The Warden join Morrigan to travel through the eluvian. NO consequence (`til now I hope )

When I read all this i thought "Woww , great ... , the story will concentred more on darkspawn and baby god (Morrigan child) .."
So i started to play DA2
prologue
Outside Lothering - meeting Flemeth in Dragon form .. " niceee good start  .. "
arriving in Kirkwall , very nice cinematic , very nice indeed.
act1
heard something about the Blight. Hero of ferelden killed the archdemon ;^_^
meet the last member of Harrowmont house .  first minor consequence.
heard of Deep Roads expedition .." maybe will meet The architect or a least a darkspawn who can speak.";)

Nothing  :crying:, instead you found a idol made from pure lyrium who affects very badly the dwarfs minds
and the game continues like this ...
also you can make bethany of carver a Warden. but Hawke can`t
so the story so far :
DA:O 10/10
DA:A  10/10 (ser Pource-lot ability is cool)
DA:O Witch hunt 9/10
DA:2 6.5/10 with Legacy 7 or 7.50 because you learn and meet one of the magisters who tried to enter in Golden City , an very ancient story .. learn the madness is even between the Wardens . etc

Now my questions for Bioware about the next DLC`s or DA 3..
why the story go so far from the actions in first game?  how  will going to have big consequences after 10 years of Hawke ?
The Warden join Morrigan to travel through the eluvian;  will we going to see Morrigan , The Warden ? ( Please USE from Warden`s calling/Urn of Ashes trailers like default face if you will choose to reput The Warden in a game , I hope to see the main character again , not only second one , Hawke.)

P.S
In Dragon Age Origins you engage 1 dragon + The Archdemon (exception make drake and dragonling) and you move around an entire country , in Dragon age 2 , you move around Kirkwall and you engage dozens of dragons ..
I cannot say how many times i played DA:O and DA:A , but a can say DA2 i played 3 times , one like mage , like rogue and like warrior ..

please excuse my bad english .

My only issue with the Elf redesign is that it is uneven. The main characters look good, even Hawke's servant looked good even though she was ugly (in her case I think that was the intent). Just about all the Elves who weren't major character looked ugly in the sense that they looked like bad 3D models from a Sega Saturn game. I thought the DA:O Elven design looked stereotypical and boring, but at least the generic Elves didn't look shoddy and poorly generated.

I think that it's a GOOD thing they do not look like Elves from LotR. I'm pretty sure that that was the intent. Elves should look different, but not condescending, ageless and superior. Nothing would have made me happier than to see more scenes of the orcs mowing down Elves in the second LotR movie.

But despite how much I liked the look of the Elven major characters in DA2, even I will admit that they all look like they desperately need to work out a bit and eat a sandwich or something.

Most of those criticisms apply to the Qunari, except the part about them being too skinny.
