So in the hypothetical chance that we see Tali's face in ME3, how should it appear? Should her face appear more alien, or more human looking? There are pros and cons to both sides.
1. If her face is very similar to a human, it would sure please the fanboys, those who already see her as someone with cute/pretty/attractive features. It sure would help her "popularity" in the male crowd.
2. Her face is actually quite alien, and may have an appearence in which is normally seen as "monsterous", or perhaps like something out of a nightmare. The benefit of this, is that it breaks the normal cliche of the hero getting with the hot girl. Also the "Power of love" (if you made her your romance in ME2) would play more of an importance for ovbious reasons, after all, Shepard should love her for who she is, not what she is. Of course it may turn of many fans if her appearance is like that.
What do you think? Which optition would you prefer?
Should Tali's face appear more alien, or more human?

I think bioware does a pretty good job at making really alien creatures look attractive. Garrus and the other turians are a great example. They are all carapace and teeth and i find them to be extremely attractive. Thane, although not my cup of tea, is rather strange looking and he is very attractive as well. I think bioware will find a great middle ground for the tali fans.

That depends by what you mean by alien. For a lot of you that just means ridges and baldness.
I think her eyes should be the most alien part of her face. Those can go a long way towards making her look other-worldly while still preserving what we've seen of her so far.
A lot of people forget that part of what makes an alien is their body structure too. In that regard quarians are all already far more alien than asari, drell, or batarians. They don't need to do too much more than that.

I imagine her to have bright white eyes, and a sort of humanoid face. Only a different color, rather like the Asari, but instead of blue, purple, maybe?

I have full confidence in Bioware when it comes to creating great characters personality and looks wise (except for Jacob xD )
From her placeholder she seems to have predominately human features ( the nose and eyes resemble human features) but then again its a placeholder.

More alien. Our main aliens are too humanoid in the first place.

I'd be happy with what ever they come up with. Unless they make her ugly. Then I'll riot! LOL

Tali's face should at least fit the descriptions from the novels and bare a resemblance to what we can already make out through her visor. Subjective opinions such as "I wanna see her look alien for the sake of looking alien" and "She must look pretty for sake of looking pretty", really shouldn't decide what her face looks like.

I don't know, I kind of hope she's like a black mage from Final Fantasy and orb face with those quarter moon eyes.

From what we can see through the visor she wears it appears to have at least eyes and a nose in the same place as humans but I could see them doing something like the way Thane looks. I really think though, like another poster said her eyes are what have to make her look different/alien like. Strange colors/a slight glow or something to them. Cause they do kinda glow even under the visor.

I like Tali, so I hope whatever they come up with is in keeping with what I picture Quarians to look like. We joke about the whole "Predator face" thing but I'm hoping it's a kind of bald, absent eyed, kind of... scaly(?) type of look? She's not exactly humanoid, what with the three fingers and toes, but she is mammalian in that she has breasts for breastfeeding and live birth parts for birthing and such.* I've always thought hair for Quarians would be weird, but that's just me. Maybe a combo of Asari "dealies" and Turian "leather"?
*I'm ignoring that they did this specifically for human sexual attraction.

She probably won't be totally human-like like an asari, but I can almost guarantee they'll make her cute/attractive in some way.

She's dextro based like Garrus but from what little we can make out through her mask her face seems to have a basic human shape to it.
I have a feeling Quarian's appearance as a whole is probably going to fall somewhere between Turians and the Asari.

I personally think that a Quarian face should look like a Quarian face.
There we go! No ambiguities at all!

Bioware will not take the Talimancers on. She will be attractive, thus pretty human like...
Sure there will be backlash from people who wanted her to be super alien/ugly and not human looking...but all you had to do was look at the silhouette of certain pics to realize she's always been quite human looking.
I do openly admit, though...it would be HILARIOUS if she turned out to be somewhat hideous. I'd read and laugh at the rage threads for a little while...

Dextro basis and Levo basis have nothing to do with appearance, it's a difference in how their genetic information is encoded. Like with a binary computer a positive charge might mean a 1 or it might mean a 0 depending on how you defined 1 and 0 to the computer.
I personally dislike the... rubber-forehead alien that most SF seems to use... at least we got fully alien, aliens with Turians, Hanar, Salarians, and Krogan... Batarians and Asari are more rubber-forehead aliens then I'd like.
However, in the case of quarians we've got a combination of factors that sort of beg for us to be at least somewhat human like in their facial design. Their facial silhouettes match human facial profiles so we should expect them to look human. Coupled with a complete lack of mammalian or avian species besides humans I'd like to see some hair or feathers hidden behind the helmet.
Scales or the aforementioned rubber foreheads won't make them seem more alien. A smooth skin with an unusual texture and highly unusual eyes would be enough to satisfy me in terms of alien-ness. That and a total absence of ears or something... Trying to take Tali and make her Cthulu just doesn't seem to work in my opinion.

From everything that is already said,Quarians are very similar to humans..except for the obvious things..3 fingers and toes...weak immune system.
Also ive heard various things that state Quarians have hair.Soo yay no more tentacles.
There has also been mentions that they are very pale skinned.

I still say they're dark skinned... pale skin would have easily shown through the helmet.

I like the mystery. It lets Shepard fall in love for her for her personality instead of her looks. So really, I'm having a hard time imagining what she would look like.
But ultimately, whatever the look, I hope pointy ears are involved ^.^

Pointy ears might be right because no other species in ME has them, she might have hair because only humans got hair and a human looking nose because we can see it through her visor.endermaryn wrote...

I think Bioware should go the Drell route with the Quarians.
With the Drell Bioware kind of tried to walk the middle ground between both alien and human features, and I think that is what they should also do with the Quarians. Give them a mix of both human and alien features without leaning too far in either direction.
In the books it is hinted that Quarians either have much smaller ears than humans or their ears are internal like a lizard's. The phrase used to describe them was 'what passes for the Quarian version of an ear."
So thankfully, Elf ears are not canon.
