See this is rendered inert by the mere fact that I know some people who think predator aliens are sexy.  Ah deviance, how I love thy many manifestations.

I have no idea what that means, but I absolutely want predator Tali. And then that look on Talimancer's face - priceless.

People who weren't fans of Tali would become fans, and those who were fans of Tali would stop being fans

This is precisely what I meant.  Be careful where you say that.  Some people take that stuff seriously.  Your need seems strong and throbbing.

Oh come on,who could take that seriously?

I think there should be a balance, i dont want her to look like the asari, we already have those. But clearly shes not going to be some sort of predator being with mandibles either. If they decide to show the quarians at all. I think someone posted a really good picture of what the quarians might look like, a while back.

More alien. Our main aliens are too humanoid in the first place.

What allies are those? The humans lol. Because there is nothing human about Garrus and Krogans reinvent the wheel on ugly, Salarians don't look human, its only the Drell--barely and Asari. You can already see through her faceplate that she has a human like structure, whether her face is more like an Asari or a Drell, remains to be scene.

Bioware's hung up on basing their aliens on lizards/repitles. Krogan, big ugly toads. Salarians, so called amphibian basis. Turians, iguanas on two legs. Asari, variation of a medusa.

I'd prefer quarians to be bird based. feathers instead of hair.

Turians are more avian than anything, no where near Iguanas....

Well Quarians do have bird like features, the way their fingers are fused, the way their legs bend at the knee, but they wouldn't have feathers lol. Feathers are for flight, insulation, protection and for things like mating and warnings. Since Quarians cant fly, they can talk, they live in symbiosis with microbes and have developed means to keep warm, they probably don't have feathers lol.

I really think the mask already constitutes her face for me, so "removing it" will just seem like plastering a completely new face onto her, but that's just my immediate perception.

If they do feel compelled to show it, then I think it should be distinctly human-like, within acceptable parameters of course. It's a little annoying because the lack (or obscuring) of significant alien characteristics was part of the reason I allowed myself to be drawn to her. She was far more human than alien in both appearance and personality (excusing the chicken legs of course).

I believe she should just have unique head features. Not looking too human. It does not matter for her beauty, only her personality. That is what a true fanboy would like about her.

And look at a female quarian. Its pretty obvious that they are mammals.

Well... technically since they don't have the same evolution as we do, assuming mammories = mammals isn't... completely correct.

Though much preferable then the imfamous, constant, and terrible appearance of repto-mammalian species like what we see in Star Wars (Prince Xizor's species for example) or Star Trek (Cardassians, Jemhadar, and so forth).

Now a mix of avian and mammalian features would be nice... hence why I advanced down type feathers (single fillament feather) in another thread on this subject.  She could have hair that technically wasn't that way.

I'll give the artist credit for their talent but it looks way too human, If Tali's face is revealed I'd rather have a Drell pull off than a Asari one

I'd like a nice 50/50 split if they feel the need to show her face. Which they don't.

Something like the Drell would be acceptable to me.

Well... might as well put some of these out there. There mostly edits of other fanart since I'm not that good at drawing but I figure they work as concepts to toy with...

Well from the way(and the sounds made when) she pounced on Shepard and began to make out with him in the romance scene, we can assume she has lips.
Her eyes glow
Her suit obviously has a physical connection to her body, which is an indication of cybernetics
She's probably a pale skin color.
Her face may be slightly elongated, though relatively human shape. Perhaps this is only suit design though.

All in all, she will be attractive, she's a romance option that's female. Even Thane and Garrus are attractive to an extent. So she may look very Alien, but she will look very attractive.

[EDIT] I would like to point out: I'm all for a space elf. Elves are sexy, I like sexy.

Don't care to jump into the middle of the some of the more heated discussions; however, despite the fact that it's been said to *Death* in this thread and elsewhere, I have to toss my hat in with, "A healthy mix of Both." If it's one thing BioWare has shown us, especially in regards to thier universes and art-direction, they always find ways to make something new/strange/alien look beautiful; also, they try to avoid too much stereotype. As such, *if* (and, let's face it, Casey at this point has teased that it's a "Big If") we see Ms. Vas Normandy's face, I doubt they'll make her look like the latest Hollywood/Canadian Film Industry Hottie/Model.

She'll be gorgeous, of that there can be little doubt (Mass Effect remains a Cinematic Sci-Fi Action Adventure Film in game form at it's core) but, given her anatomy and physical appearence, she'll be alien enough to seem, well, *Alien.* But not overly Alien, e.g. Turians, Krogans, Salarians, etc. I would say...more Drell then Asari though. So, that's what I think, come what may. Either way, this is BioWare. She won't (unless you're way too Anal Retentive/Have no life) disappoint.

THIS by a long shot. With that, PLEASE stop all of these Tali's face threads. There have been so many.:?

We already know Quarians look reasonably "human," with eyes and a nose shaped just like ours. I would venture that they have narrower faces and different colored skin, and possibly tendrils instead of hair.

Shepard did smile...so she must be attractive to the human eye.

Attractive to Shepards eye, not humans in general. Remember that Shepard can also find Garrus and Thane attractive.

I want to see how alien they can get it while still keeping her "beautiful" for the sake of the fanboys. REALLY push the limits, you know? Granted, since we've already seen her eyes and nose, we've got limits, but seriously, there should be a little "not sure if want" in there (a la Garrus and Thane).

Personally, I think she should be... fuzzy. Like a peach.
