Should Tali's face appear more alien, or more human?

Quarians are not space-elves.

That is kind of what i thought they would make her look like, i'd be glad to be proved wrong.armass wrote...
I hope if they decide to show the quarians that they dont look too much like humans, I mean we already have 2 races that resemble humans quite alot, the asari and the drell. 3 races in same galaxy resembling us so much is really stretching it, even in scifi setting.
And NO purple space elves, pleeeease!!

That one is my favorite too. If tali looks anything close to that I'd be very happy.PhatSeeJay wrote...
Alien, without a doubt, but still have a certain humanoind resemblance to their face. Think that's pretty obvious with how we see their eyes behind the visor. Think this one has been my favorite fan image of Tali's face so far. Very much alien and looks to fit the helmet shape, while holding a certain beauty to her.

I'd go for alien in the way Thane/the drell look alien. It's a happy medium.

She should look like a night elf from world of warcraft. Minus the ears, which wouldn't fit in the helmet of course. But it would explain her eyes shining through the helmet in ME1, and probably would be a hit with all the people who voted for Femshep 5.
I really don't know why people want Tali to look like an elf. All ready, elfs, or elf like creatures are used way to much in fiction, i want something original.

They quite clearly show two eyes, nose and a jaw that's comparable to most human skeletons, along with anatomically accurate 3-digit hands and feet.
Whatever they do with Tali's face, it's going to look very human.

besides....why would a quarian leave their envirosuit on a hostile planet right after a crash landing?

And they didnt leave their suits, they got eaten by indigenous varren.

the corpse is just poorly textured
I also doubt that varren would leave the bones there. Varren are like hyenas on steroids and hyenas leave nothing; they eat meat and bones. So assuming that the 'quarian corpses' were indeed eaten, I think it's a little weird that they'd tear through envirosuits that have no nutritional content, but leave the bones which does have nutritional content........that is, of course, assuming that varren can have dextro-based foods without ill effects.
I think that it would've been more believable if there were a few bones here and there as opposed to an entire skeleton....the skeleton is also picked clean, as if from decomposition...and I doubt quarians decompose THAT fast.......so yea, it's just a generic skeleton (I'm still trying to find the image)

That depends by what you mean by alien. For a lot of you that just means ridges and baldness.
I think her eyes should be the most alien part of her face. Those can go a long way towards making her look other-worldly while still preserving what we've seen of her so far.
A lot of people forget that part of what makes an alien is their body structure too. In that regard quarians are all already far more alien than asari, drell, or batarians. They don't need to do too much more than that.
And because we are posting pictures in this thread...

I don't understand the obsesion with making her purple though, by that logic Quarians have a larger color pool than Salarians.

Her visor is purple, so naturally that's the skin tone that people imagine when thinking of her face. We've only seen the faint glow of her eyes and a purple hue after all.

actually, on that mission, the skeletons are just generic human skeletons...they have 5 digits and their shins aren't curved...

Doesn't mean she can't look alien. Tali already has a more angular face than humans, thinner cheekbones, and we don't know what her jaw looks like. (Her jaw was removed from the placeholder.)
Drell are human like, they have almost everything a human has outside of a fused finger. They have two eyes, a nose, lips... But their face is still very alien. Its very simple to do.

I like the concept of this one; it's mostly what I imagined, though her nose should be longer--it always has looked much longer under the mask, and a bit thinner at the top.Bcuz wrote...

The purple skin tone--I mentioned this earlier, but I imagine some of them as being black, some red, some purple, some
white, some grey; maybe a mix. Their main suit colors I see as being the closest
they can get to an expression of their skin color. I think they would want to do that. Imagine, if no one ever saw your face, that would be such a lonely feeling... you'd want to do something to counteract that, to show others some piece of yourself.
And it would be nice to have the quarians vary in skin tone--really, most other species are within the same range. For quarians to vary as widely as humans would be cool.
If they did have hair, then they should look very different from us in other ways.

Seen this one a great many times and have to say I do like it. Probably not so much the purple skin, but regardless. As for the people who say she should look like a predator.... well then she'd need mandibles like a Turian, not lips, which we know isnt the case.
