Hey anyone played through a story mode being a assasin/duelist? Are they any good? I was thinking of making one I have trouble with this game on easy so looking for a class that will have high survivability and I heard they have a stealth in combat move any other suggestions or are Assasin/duelists pro? Thank you in advance

Duelist/Assassin Dwarf here and trust me you'll be able to pump out some insane damage
Poisons and Flasks are awesome, and you can use it for locked chests and doors. I went for the less-subtle approach and don't use stealth heavily but the 'stealth in combat' ability essentially gives you a backstab every 10 secs and can be a good 'panic' button.

Such a character is an excellent DPS-er if built correctly. If you base it on Strength (need 32 for best axe, 34 for medium armor), only adding necessary amount of Cunning (22 for Master Stealth) and spend the rest to have moderate Dexterity, Constitution and Willpower you will be all set to be the best damager in your party.
From talents you max Stealth (auto-crit and aggro lowering), Mechanics (to open locks). Since you're based on Strength you can ignore Lethality line completely. From other talents you want Coup de Grace and Combat Movement (but save a point on Feign Death, you can use Stealth to lower aggro)... and that's it.
Dual-wield important stuff is Dual Sweep dealing 220% of your basic damage to everyone in front of you, Riposte (long stun + critical right after), and Momentum (making you a real killing machine). You don't want to go much higher than Dual Weapon Finesse, rather spend points on other specialization-specific things.
From Assassin's tree you want to get first three skills, Mark of Death will be your boss killer, Exploit Weakness will increase DPS moderately and so will Lacerate. Fourth skill I consider useless so take it when you have points left at the end of the game.
Duelist is pretty weak to be honest, the first skill is probably all you will ever take from that chain. Ranger is a viable alternative to it adding a good tank (low DPS but good resistances and constitution) to your party, I especially liked the Blight Wolf. Still, Ranger requires 4 points to become useful so you're more likely taking Bard or Duelist instead and only using hteir first skill in the chain since you will most probably lack points for everything else.
From skills you want Coercion, Combat Training and two levels of poisons allowing you to 1. poison your blades with junk you find on your travels 2. build bombs which deal 80 flat elemental damage of the type they are (acid bomb - 80 nature damage for example) seriously increasing your DPS.
