And I dissagree uncanny. That artical is basically saying just watch it and give it a rest. That would be like a movie set in World War One going "This is based on an actul historical work and battle" then giving them a Tiger Tank. It smacks of "Well like this is my vision and you have to see it like that!" mindset alot of directors have today. Most of which just endlessly give us remakes or hash together retold tales with a "modern" (IE ****ty and depressing) outlook.

Nolan's made style-choices and certain minor changes (we all know the Comic Bruce Wayne does not need a Lucius Fox to explain Science to him) in bringing all of this to the big screen and it's been done well, so I have no problem.

My borderline apathy laid bare, I am fine with this outfit. It is an improvement over Bane's bondage mask at least. Points scored on that alone. In my opinion seeing a woman dressed in leather from head to toe, with heels, sharp claws and a whip in addition to head covering mask complete with cat ears would look goofy as hell in a live action context. The memory of "Batman Returns" is still fresh in my mind.
I am doubly disinclined to care about this in Nolan's Batman movies. What matters most is Seline Kyle's dialogue and Anne Hathaway's acting. Past villains in these movies were pretty damned impressive, and none of them were mirror perfect representations of their comic counterparts.
Edit: On a side note, prostitutes are people too. A person can have all sorts of reasons to dislike a prostitute, but using that label as a pejorative to imply a woman, or in this case a female character, is somehow subhuman, is ignoble.

Now when she becomes Catwoman, i do expect her to have the ears.
Also i will say i love the utility look her outfit has, i think it has more of an authentic modern thief feel to it.
Now i'm no comic book reader, so my opinion on her outfit may be blasphemy, but i dont care

Well, I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with exactly. I didn't make a comment I just linked the article because I believed it to be pertinent.
Personally I'm on the fence. I don't particularly like what I'm seeing but I also don't think a single out of context still is sufficient evidence to get cross over...

Well...yeah? They are directors. They are the creative authority on whatever film they are making.
It isn't really up to the prospective fanbase to decide what is appropriate and what is not. In fact, in most cases the fanbase are the last people you should ask for input, because they have a self-professed bias.
I don't particularly like what I see here, but then again, I have a self-professed bias for the Michelle Pfeiffer-incarnation of the character.
Point is, your interpretation of the linked article; comparing an undisputable historical anachronism to the appearance of a comic book character in an upcoming film adaptation?
That doesn't really add up.

Oh I'm gettin' cross baby, I'm getting cross.
Ok...I over reacted. Still, she doesn't look the part, and her outfit isn't condusive to being an anonymous cat burglar. Why in the world is she showing everyone her hair? Is she in a Pantene commercial? It should be tucked under a full head mask. And her thigh high boots look like my dad's fishing waders.

Also as stated the image is out of context so getting angry over it really makes no sense. Still Ann Hathaway is a talented actress and I for one would like to see how she pulls off being Catwoman.

Eva Green or Marion Cotillard should have been Catwoman. Missed opportunities. smh
Edit: There's a new promotional one. Still looks more of the same.

Eva Green would have been great. My first pick would be Swedish actress Noomi Rapace.

Aww damn. Just posted a pic. Gonna get banned again.

That was aimed at in General. Not at this movie if you must know. Which I don't give a flying **** if it doesn't add up to you, but what ever. As to your directors remark. True, but rather than ruining old classics why not...oh make something new? Or **** write about any one of the litterally thousands of comic book hero's that arn't so well known?
Oh thats right, it hasn't got **** to do with creativity so much as money, boobs, and big kabooms. Thats what most modern movies are, or worse it Turns into the latest Bond films which are crap.
My deal with the artical is the tone of it.
You can take a Turd, paint it gold, put ears on it, what ever you want to do. And say don't judge it till you see it. Well yeah guess what, it still smells like **** at the end of the day. Saddly most people can't seem to smell **** in general today given how much of it they get ran up them on a daily bases in the name of "progress". Thats the point its like History using the saying "History everyday" as a answer to all of its various shows that border on the ****ing crazy, or Rednecks and Canadians in the Woods cutting down trees and driving trucks.
Once you start down that road you kill off the various styles of shows and the like and throw accountability out of the window. And it allows for such "great" idea's as say a remake of Kagemusha or Seven Samurai, where you replace all of the cast with a multi racial group, and most of the males with females out of "fairness" the bulk of whom will have huge ****** and no acting ability, and ****ing vampires, the story will be fallowed so well that even fans of it will have no ****ing idea whats going on, and oh yes Western Ideals or America somehow wins or is shown in a manner in the film. Dispite both being in a Fuedal Japan Setting. Oh don't forget explosions. Thats not creativity, or "modernizing" thats ruining **** in the name of a modern movie goer, that has too much money, and not enough taste.
Or as I posted before in a REAL context the remake of Akira, now lets look at this mockery.
You go from Post WW3 Japan, with biker gangs, military ESP research, and generally a screwed up event that leads to a city vanishing, to this.
A 3d live action film where EVERYONE is white, has the names changed, and its in New York City, Modern Day that is, and fallows the plot so well that its a ****ing joke.

I hope she still have her flamboyant personalities . If she has this whole 'serious and professional ' attitude i will be dissapointed.

Michelle Pfeiffer looked attractive in her Catwoman outfit. Of course, she is attractive out of it too, which helps. XD However, I thought her performance and dialogue played up Catwoman's seductive aspects while exchanging wittiness and slyness for insanity. As long as Nolan nails Catwoman's characterization, I can live with a no frills costume.

Second: Without anything like a cat-eared (copyright Catwoman tm) cowl it's not really iconic..
Third: Her having her hair out..let's see her move through alarm laser-beams and stuff like she use to without that getting in the way.
I'm hoping this is before she gets her identity, like how Bruces costume wasn't complete in the dark knight until after meeting Gordon for the first time.

according to the wikipedia, in 1986 Selina Kyle's origin was re-written for her to be a prostitute turned to crime fighting/thievery. Before that she was just a thief in the batman series.

Actually, no.
That was retconned in Catwoman: Year one, so that she was only a thief posing as a prostitute.

We all love our Bat-Characters and in the first two Films I think Nolan showed them a great deal of reverence even if changes were made. I don't see any reason to believe that this last of his Batman films will be any different.
