We all love our Bat-Characters and in the first two Films I think Nolan showed them a great deal of reverence even if changes were made. I don't see any reason to believe that this last of his Batman films will be any different.


She's much to petite a girl for the role, it's not a matter of acting ability, it's a question of if she's believable in the part.

I mean, Tom Hanks is a great actor, but you wouldn't exactly want to cast him in the role of for example James Bond because he just doesn't fit the role regardless of his acting ability.

I looked it up just now...Anne Hathaway is "officially" listed at 5' 8" if by "petite" we're talking about height and not...ummm...Selina's "Ears?"...yeah...let's go with "Ears"...

I certainly see why folks are questioning the choice. She certainly wasn't the first woman that came to mind when I heard Catwoman was going to be in the Film...but I feel the same way about Micheal Cain...he certainly looks nothing like the Comic's Alfred, but I can't imagine anyone else in the role for Nolan's Bat-Verse now...which is different than whatever passes for "Canon" at DC now.

I think Nolan is a director who Casts well...which is a Talent not all Directors have. I never would have thought of Ellen Page for "Inception" if I had read the script, but she was very good.

I'm just kind of happy that Catwoman is getting some attention with all this, most folks who are not Comic Fans think of her as a bit of eye candy for Fanboys when she actually is a very deep Character.

@Tommy - I'm okay with that outfit but I prefer her usual regalia that fits her name.

Catwoman on the otherhand needs a mask... end of story!

Agreed totally on catwoman :D. I do like her og harlequin outfit more though.

anyway, she looks fine to me, although i would have preferred her to look more like in the comics, but whatever is Christopher Nolan.

That's really what struck me the most. I think it pretty much gives away the fact that they're going to show the Romance between Selina and Bruce going full out. I try not to read too much about Films I really want to see, but I'm pretty sure that sequence is happening outside Blackgate during a riot Bane starts...where that fits into the 2+ hours of the Film, I'm not sure.

As I've said before in this thread (If memory serves me right):

That was retconned in "Catwoman Year One", she's only pretending to be a prostitute in some undercover thievery work.

In the Dark Knight, Batman tips it in the middle of the street when he chooses to not run the Joker over with it... 
It may have just been left in the street along with the rest of the rubble (semi-truck and trailer and a helicopter) from the way it looked it was not badly damaged CatWomen could have just walked along during the chaos and snached it up.

While that may be somewhat of a bummer, making Harley look more "whôřë-ish" would be the main killer for the character, IMO.
