No mask, no ears, no protective padding. Cherry red lipstick. Hair flowing in the wind as she rides Batman's vehicle. I understand she's a sex symbol and all, but with Nolan's adherence to realism, I thought she'd have a more practical look.
I'm not pleased.

LOL what part of anything in this world is even remotely practicle?
You got a guy dressing up as a bat to fight crime and your worried about the attractive chick in leather?

Hmm given that new picture I would assume it was a burglar on a retarded bike than a DC comic character.
And I dissagree uncanny. That artical is basically saying just watch it and give it a rest. That would be like a movie set in World War One going "This is based on an actul historical work and battle" then giving them a Tiger Tank. It smacks of "Well like this is my vision and you have to see it like that!" mindset alot of directors have today. Most of which just endlessly give us remakes or hash together retold tales with a "modern" (IE ****ty and depressing) outlook.
Awesome you proved the article right.
Kneejerk reactions to one photo and your already judging way to harshly on it.
"no" you say "its like telling me to put up with everything bad because living like that sucks"
Kneejerk ractions at its best

I think this bears repeating. When they were first talking about Batman Begins, and the only official first pic of Bale in the movie had been of him as Bruce Wayne and not in the Batusit, would you all be panicking as much and complaining "Oh noes, he's not wearing the costume? How can he not wear the costume? He won't really be Batman without the costume." or on the other side trying to rationalize how he doesn't really need the costume as long as he has the attitude. Both attitudes are extremely silly if you're basing them on some pics that compose maybe a few seconds in a 2-3 hour movie. Wait until a few months down the line until we can get a better idea how she actually is portrayed in the film before we start going off on stuff that we have no idea is actually true. It's way too early.Chris Priestly wrote...
I think people who get upset from one image without seeing more images are likely over-reacting.
Yes, I would like to see her with the "ears & goggles" like in the comics, but who knows why she isn't wearing them in these images? Maybe she removed them so they don't blow off while she's on the bike? Maybe Bane stole them? Or maybe they're left at Batman's place?
I love internet fans, because I am one myself, but there is nothing like them for jumping to uninformed reactions.

That being the case, out of curiosity to see what people would say I threw together this poll:
Who should have been cast as Catwoman?

Also in agreement with the above on all of this over realism. Punisher is more realistic, and he's also a murdering nut case, that puts a special forces battalion to shame. In any case Its a man dressed as a bat running down a clown, a dude covered in question marks and a man that looks like a bird. A girl in a catsuit, pft please.

Dan Didio! It has to be!
I really expect that Anne Hathaway will be very good as Selina/Catwoman. She hasn't always been in the best films, but she is talented and as I posted before, I think Nolan has a terrific eye for Casting.

What's the deal anyway with trying to adopt a realistic tone when talking about a man dressed as a bat chasing a clown on a roof ? Reality has enough realism to my liking, give me something cool-looking, please !
