i just realized something if multiplayer is in despite what we were told then the prothean squad member is probably real

There was doubt that was real? It was on the freakin Origin site.  I remember seeing it when it was there.

There was doubt because chris priestly denied it multiple times

Oh beau. Don't you know not to trust him? He also denied Archangel was Garrus and Legion and Kasumi didn't exist either. :police:

I know lol it just that theres doubt because some people beleive him

BTW guys, you do know MP mode is most likely not even developed by BioWare Edmonton right? So don't worry, it won't affect development of single-player.

Bioware is silently watching this thread, refusing to intervene for even those massive repeat-comment chains and personal insults they normally warn about. Why not? Only BW comment so far was in that other thread they closed down redirecting to this one.

Anyone else find this interesting?

Personal insults? I haven't seen any. As for the repeated comments hopefully that will stop now. Although I do find it interesting they redirected to this thread.

Eh they were mostly earlier on in the thread

Hmm, not sure how I feel about the multiplayer notion yet.

Ok, sorry about the UK confusion. Kind of wish someone across the pond would look for this magazine, though. We need to know what it says.

I passed up making an outline for my debut fanfic and watching Boston Legal with my mom for THIS?

BSN, you have failed me for the last time.

1. Multiplayer is not confirmed.

2. It is possible for a game to still have a very high-quality single-player campaign even IF multiplayer is present *coughSTARCRAFTcough*.

3. Bioware is a corporation, not your spouse.

While I am against adding a multiplayer mode to ME3, I will reserve judgment until it is both confirmed and tested. It could, after all, be a fun little way to kill time with friends and draw "casual" gamers into the franchise, thus getting more people to appreciate the finer aspects of a great single-player game. Hell, it may even be the gateway into smartening up those dreaded meatheads everyone is so concerned about!

Or ME3 could be Ruined Forever. Yes, I am quite open to the possiblility of ME3 bombing so hard I never recover.

True, or at least assuming that it is true, there still is a significant additional cost to developing multiplayer, and that cost will be subtracted from the overall budget of the game at the expense of the single player game.

Moreover, publishers dont want to produce games with any more disk swapping for consoles than is necessary. If that means cutting out Thessia or some other homeworld to allow disk space for the multiplayer that they feel is so much more lucrative, then that is precisely what they will do.

As for whether this confirms multiplayer or not, frankly you would have to be extremely thick or naive to think otherwise now.

I really despise being lied to, and Bioware are clearly liars. Developers can intervene if I'm wrong but I'm not.

Dragon Age 2 was the first straw. This may be my last.

Bring it on the MP!

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was bashed because of the MP version and when it was launched the majority of the whiners liked it.

I expect the same to happen in ME3 (if confimed).

If/when this is confirmed, it will be BSN's most epic drama since forever. I can hardly wait!

You mean last week (two weeks?) when blonde FemShep won? :innocent:

Doubt it. If anything EA most likely expanded the budget to cover MP costs. Koolhaus Games is developing ME3 companion game/app for iOS yet no one thinks that one had money shifted from SP ME3 by BioWare to get created.

IF multi-player is ever made (which is highly unlikely) it could be done as a DLC made by DICE and released three or four months after the final game itself is released

I really hope you're right, but this is not on a seperate platform like iOS. It will be in the same package, on the same platform. Small chance of it being DLC, but I doubt they would be promoting DLC this far in advance of the actual game.

No, I think the tears over ME3 MP will completely drown out any other drama in recent or ancient BSN history.

A whole new generation of bitter ex-fanboys will be born.

So we're talking:

-S/S confirmation
-Ashley's new look
-James Vega
-Blonde FemShep

All combined into one glorious implosion on BSN...this is gonna hurt.

....that's what she said.

S/S confirmation was pretty rich, but Ashley, Jersey Vega and Aryan FemShep were tame.

I think we'll see angsting greater than some people's over DA2. Amazing!

Well, at least this time the drama won't be about how someone looks or who he sleeps with, but about an actual game feature. Kind of a progress actually I guess lol

Yes. See, that's what those other things were about--BSN's will to self-destruction lacked a suitable outlet, and manifested over being bitter that a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, pale-skinned woman was being portrayed as strong and heroic, or Ashley dressing in fairly conservative casual attire.

Schaudenfreude! It's entertainment for the rest of us.
