GTFO and go play call of duty or something. why would you ruin the experience of a large majority just because you are a more casual, less intelligent minority? Im starting to think that your trolling bro.

Cool story, bro. My favorite part was when you claimed that the moment multiplayer is in the picture, everyone's IQ is halved. Really, your superiority has been noted.

Stereo-typing my friend, sometimes its bad, sometimes its logical. Which do you think is smarter the football fueled 13 year old kid who LOOOOVES call of duty and gears of war, or the older, more mature chess player? Wake up will you, sides i think the big bad wolf can take care of himself on these forums :P

What a weak argument. I've seen people get just as frustrated over a chess game as I have over a Halo match. I play both. Claiming that "the masses" are stupid is just a ridiculous statement made by people who think they are in the know, and like to think they are better.

I play both Multiplayer and Singleplayer games. That mean I am less mature than you because you exclusively play singleplayer games?

Steretyping is never logical, because in the end you are describing an entire group through one image.

I just have one question:

There's only a finite amount of space on a game disk. ME2 proves this by being on two disks and splitting recruitment between "pre-Horizon" and "post Horizon". If MP is added to the mix, even with a budget to account for that, what gets left out of the single player game? How many missions, planets, companions end up on the cutting room floor are made paid DLC as a result? THis is what I think people mean by multiplayer messing with the single-player experience.

Or are we suggesting there would be a separate "multiplayer disk" for ME3? That would be... odd... Much easier to just make a separate game. More profitable too.

Although this doesn't pertain completely to this MP rumor, I still can't help but feel disappointed that Bioware moderates these forums so poorly/cares so little about the "feelings" on their fans (even if these feelings are mostly whining, Bioware should be at least somewhat concerned that several members of their fanbase are growing ulcers); a fact made worse since they hire community staff such as Chris Priestly and Stanley Woo specifically to organize social events and communicate with potential consumers/fans directly, whose responsibility I assume would include addressing concerns that the community feels very strongly about in a clear and concise manner.

Would it really hurt to give a definitive answer to MP? Although I believe Casey when he mentioned the little tidbit of info regarding MP in ME3 during the SDCC Q&A, it was, however, an indirect answer, so these rumors do carry some weight if not dismissed directly and clearly by a Bioware developer.

The game is, after all, in the final stages of production - if MP is indeed a feature of ME3 it is not coming out and vice-versa. Basically, instead of redirecting threads, I wish Bioware would either A) tell us to expect more info on MP "soon" or B) claim that "MP is something we are considering for future Mass Effect titles, but ME3 will remain a strictly SP experience".

The way Bioware seems to be handling this situation (and previous situations) is shameful at best.

This is a complicated issue.

If you look at the sizes of the games, you'll see that they don't completely fill up both discs. And really, a lot of the information is redundent between the discs (You can't explore illium on Disc 1, but you can go to Omega on either Disc).

Bioware has also stated that they have improved their compression data over ME1/ME2. So space may not be too much of an issue afterall.

Really, the MP side of things is surprisingly small. If MP forced things into DLC states, then it was likely the main game would have only been able to include a few extra things before doing the same.

And seperate discs isn;t entirely unusual. Halo 3: ODST did it.

Great analogy.<_< What type of videogames the chess player use?
Not every person who plays or love COD and GOW are 13 years old kid. I'm against MP, but that doesn't mean that I'm more intelligent that people who want MP. I can understand if you said that people who want MP "could" be MP, but saying that people who like MP have lower IQ isn't very logical.

Edit: oh, and sterotypes are always BAD.

I am aware of that i like COD4 and kinda enjoyed MW2 but ended up selling it to my brother and black ops was just horrible so i sold it, i used to play gears of war 2 but sold it because after the single player i just got kinda bored... dont think that just because i left i arrogant comment means that i NEVER play mainstream games and that im some elitist that doesn't buy the game unless it has a 95 and above on metacritic or something :)

Oh, my mistake. I just felt that with you claiming that only the "less intelligent minority" play multiplayer, you would be in the upper-echelon of the gaming community.

Seriously, claiming MP is a blight to a game is ridiculous. And according to so many other people in this very topic, the "majority of gamers" like multiplayer. So you would sacrifice what they would want over what you would want?

Especially since it wouldn't cost singleplayer anything at all, since it would appear Bioware Edmonton would take the development reins.

GAMERS in general and MASS EFFECT PLAYERS are two different things just because must gamers want multiplayer does not mean most mass effect players want multiplayer. and this forum more than proves my point on that. Also there was a poll posted asking if you want multiplayer or not in ME3 (i would post a link but it was pretty far back like page 16 or 20 or something along those lines) and when i checked 72% said NO 28% said YES so i rest my case there...

Chess requires more than one player...

Also, you spelt 'fuelled' wrong. If you are trying to appear more intelligent than people who play different games to you, you're doing it wrong. Although why you think that someone's intelligence is based on what games they play is beyond me. Many football games require a level of strategy most RPGs struggle to achieve.

As far as multiplayer goes, doing some co-op with everyone as their own personal Shepards would be neat. Playing the entire singleplayer with a friend would be less so. What everyone says about hiring new teams and getting more time and money from EA should be about right if this is in fact correct. If not, there's no need to insult everyone's intelligence just because you don't see eye to eye.

Why? So it can help your argument? You can't speak of the majority of Mass Effect players and Gamers in generals, which number in the thousands, if that poll barely represents BSN as a whole.

LOL umm sorry, i guess? I apologize for spelling a word wrong? anyway, Im aware that chess requires more than one player as does COD i dont really get how that was relevant for you to say at all but whatever. The rest of the things you said i kinda agree on. =]

I just want to point out that I bought June's issue of XBox World because the plastic cover stated "New Mass Effect content" then once opened the actual cover had nothing about it on. When I start reading all they did was a timeline review of ME up to Arrival.

Its an unofficial magazine and I fell for their cheap trick (which verged on lies).  They just use it to sell a couple of extra copies and I wont be fooled again.

I highly doubt this magazine has anything at all.

I agree. And yeah, it was a cheap trick. Then they tweeted it like it was fact to cause even more stir. Friggin' low class as hell. What a rag.

Edit: actually correction. the ones that tweeted it were from some RPG website that wrote an article abt. it being confirmed. 2 tweets from the one that ran the web site and the one that wrote the article. Still, the magazine intentionally displayed title for that affect; and website tweeted it to get more traffic.

Everybody's got an angle. Always trying to pull something. sheesh.<_<

Ok then i guess not. "So it can help your argument" LOL what? that was kinda... dumb.... but no, sides its gives you a pretty good general idea if you ask me wait till it builds up it will remain the same whether you like it of not, every single mass effect player there is could vote and it would STILL come out as NO being the majority get over it. on a more serious note though wait till it gets in the thousands and you will still be wrong NO will be the majority.
