Also look at how he worded his post "we do not want to close ourselves off from any possibilities". Does that sound like a "no, no MP in ME3" to you? To me it does not, It does on the other hand, sound like a dodge, sybilline answer on the matter.......now why would that be?

When the teaser for Mass Effect 3 first released, rumours were swirling that the project was actually a multiplayer title set in the Mass Effect universe. Those rumours turned out to be false, but it got many gamers thinking about how a multiplayer component would fit into the Mass Effect trilogy. Rest assured, the team has thought about this too, "As a single-player experience, and just as a world that people want to immerse themselves in and share, we've been trying to think of a way that makes sense for people to experience Mass Effect with friends," says executive producer Casey Hudson. "We haven't yet come up with a way to do that, so we don't have anything to announce at this time. But obviously, multiplayer is something we want to do more of in the future as a company".

Btw, can anyone answer my earlier question about whether or not there's actually anything NEW in this article?

I give up? Why?

Nobody believes you (and by that I mostly mean Casey Hudson) because all we get are evasive, over-complicated or ambiguous answers. I appreciate there are things that you cannot give clear answers to and have to be vague, and I don't think, for something like this at least, that we are somehow 'entitled' to an answer.
If you wanted to be believed, all you, or anybody else from BW would have to say is "there will/won't be MP in ME3". Then all the rumours and the threads discussing the issue of MP would stop.
The game is now 8 months from release, and as time goes on the excuse of "we do not ever want to close ourselves off for a possibility for sometime (days, weeks, years, etc) in the future" will wear increasingly thin as you will have to know at some point whether MP is in the game or not.
And my fantasies about Martha Stewart should have no bearing on whether you answer our questions

Okay I'm trying to understand this so don't necessarily take this as me insulting you or whatever.

So you don't trust them because they give ambiguous answers? Now to me that doesn't make sense because the whole point of giving ambiguous answers is so you won't have to lie to the fans and whenever you do confirm something it would likely be the truth.
1136342t54 wrote...
Now the only way you can trust them is that they answer you properly?
1136342t54 wrote...
Then that would mean you always trusted them. It was never a matter of trust or not it was a matter of just giving a straight answer. Now I understand that you want that but the fact is I doubt even Bioware is entirely sure they want MP in this thats why they are giving vague answers. They are pretty much like me. I'm barely sure of what I want to do until the last minute lol. Now thats a exaggeration but it fits somewhat.

Not possible I'm afraid. Everything you say will be assumed to be grevious insults
I think my post got a bit muddled because I was responding to Chris' accusation that we don't believe them, so i'll try and start over.
What I'm trying to say is that when they give us an answer that is ambiguous, we don't accept because although it may be worded (for example) as a denial of MP being in ME3, it is never as clear cut as we would like. I can't speak for Chris, but maybe when he said that we never believe them, what he really means is we never seem to just accept the answer and then create 40 page threads about it
Although I was quoting Chris, I probably shouldn't have focused on me not believing them because that in retrospect is not what I meant.
Again that's understandable but I think thats the point. If you assume that's their final say on the matter then what they tried to do didn't work. For now it seems like they want the fans to not know one way or another that Bioware will be doing multiplayer since they aren't sure themselves.Again I probably should not have said that my belief of what they say is based on whether they answer me in a fashion I like or not. What I really mean is that if they give an ambiguouos answer (which I understand that they have to sometimes do) to a question, I'm not going to consider that question answered conclusively (my problem not their's
).
Maybe you should work for them

"DA2 was not as critically acclaimed as DA:O, so it is indeed a true fact that the quality was overall worse."
Please pull a useful argument rather than posting random examples of skepticists who considered themselves to be right by the end of the day

WAAAAAHHHH! Is that a flock of penguins I hear? It's THEIR game, THEIR choice.
Edit: Also, do you think ANYONE in Bioware would change just because a few people cancel their Pre-Orders? I mean, seriously? It's going to be a good game, for godsakes I saw a thread earlier saying it'll be good but not perfect. Okay?! Do people complain just to complain? These guys slave over making this series, and everyone complains. They'll do it how they want to, and as much as I'd like to hear from Bioware about their multiplayer out of curiosity, does not mean we're going to get an answer. The best you MIGHT get is at Gamescom in September. That's it. So stop finding things to complain about. Well, you won't. But I'd like to believe.

looks at your join date.....LOL
you obviously ignore a few things
1: this is how BSN works
2: Bioware listens, if you had been around durning Xmas time before ME2 was released then you'd know. No criticism = no improvement.
3: It's their game...which they are selling to us and it is crafted for the public not for themselves. Listening to the people yu are going to sell something to sounds like a good idea.

Yes, but they can have very selective hearing. If these multiplayer rumours are true (and I have a bad feeling that they are) Then it really does bring into question exactly who they are listening to.
