I should have thought of that. The map they realeased pretty much shatters my fic's canon. Cause it's set "outside equestria" and that's like the whole point. But there is no "outside equestria"

I can blow a hole through that idea already, unfortunately. The map that Hasbro released of Equestria shows that the lands of Griffons and Dragons are in other directions.

Meaning there is more than one landmass on the planet.

Its probably safe to just claim that Equestria is a kingdom and that the world its located in is just "The World".

The show has referred to it as the world and the country before, so its conflicting.

Hence me usually thinking its both.

Open to interpretation, I guess. For a fanfic you've got freedom anyway.
