Luna's S2 appearance actually went a lot better than I had imagined. I was anticipating something like this.TheBlackBaron wrote...
I still think this is a holdover from the Season 1 days when Luna was a complete unknown, so people could just project anything they liked onto her.Arcadian Legend wrote...
Luna's the more popular of the two as well. Infact, some consider her more popular than Applejack IIRC.

I know right!?
Instead, the general consenseus was "canon Luna is best Luna".
And lo, canon Luna is indeed best Luna.

Hmm... is there any episode in which there is actual fire? I can't find any images of it.

Other than the sentimental parts at the end (Purple pony writing to Princess pony about what she's learned), and that cringe worthy intro, the show is really entertaining. It's the same kind of enjoyment i get out of watching Spongebob.

The intro really brings out my inner homophobe. Lol.
Other than that, it is sometimes entertaining.
Though you should expect it to be sentimental somewhat as it is a little kid's show.

What Volus means is that expect a letter to Celestia at the end of every episode.Volus Warlord wrote...

You might like the abridged version, "Friendship is Witchcraft" better. Twilight Sparkle always writes far better letters to the Princess in that. I.E.:Gibb_Shepard wrote...

"Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned how to tell ghouls from phantoms! Ghouls dwell in a different plane of existence and leave behind a trail of spooky ectoplasm. Phantoms can move physical objects and must bear the heavy chains of their sin until judgement day. I am also happy to report that I am well on my way to becoming a princess along side you on the throne where it will be even easier for you to receive my letters. So, despite a minor kerfuffle, I'd have to say that this has been the most touching Molestfest yet. Best of all, nothing scary happened."

They've moved away a bit from the moral of the day in the second season.
There's one episode where Applejack outright says she didn't learn anything.
