I hope that if Hasbro ever does develop an official MLP game they put some effort into it, rather than putting out the kind of shovelware that usually gets made out of licensed titles. As Nintendo has often proven, a family friendly game can still contain quality gameplay and deep storytelling. Whoever makes an official game for MLP should follow the shows lead, and avoid making the mistake of underestimating the intelligence of young children as I feel some developers do.
Underestimating the intelligence of young children is something I think they'd be wary of, just as much as overestimating it.
They know they have a massive brony fanbase, and while bronies are a large drop in the bucket of total fans, who's likely to buy a MLP video game?
Adults, or children? Likely adults, even if its a kid's game.
They probably think there wouldn't be enough profit in it.
