So about a year ago some bronies in Missouri got permission to do some graffiti in a certain spot, so they made a large piece of wall art that took them a ridiculous amount of time to make. The art stood untouched for over a year untill very recently where it was vandalised.

I see autism get thrown around a lot as an insult to us, but what makes me lol hardest is that they actually treat autism as an insult.

Take pity on them. I'd wager a sizeable fraction of anons are also autistic, whether they know it or not.

Since when has autism been an insult? I could see alot of better insults than that one.. Maybe the anon is talking about himself?

While it will be hilarious for everyone to see what a douche that guy is, it's a shame he had to ruin such a great piece of art to do it.

Even if you don't like ponies, you have to appreciate the time that went into that. I favorite a lot of crap on deviantART I don't really understand, because I can appreciate hard work put into something like that.

Ever since 4chan decided it was.

Again, take pity on them. Many probably don't realize they're insulting themselves when they use it like that.

Below is the very article that started it all. I doubt the author had any idea what he/she was about to create.

huh.. i didn't read it all the way through but MLP reminds me alot of the shows i watched growing up and started seeing die off around the time my siblings were actually old enough to watch cartoons and get them (so about 4 or so years ago).  I wouldn't necessarily say that since the Show was made originally to sell toys, that it hasn't been creator driven. It would seem to me that MLP is among the most creator driven shows out there at the moment.

Without that article, FiM wouldn't be as popular as it is today(as the brony fandom wouldn't of come together) so thank God for that.

Ehm... There's MORE than four big ones, y'know. Can you be more specific?

I'm guessing that the 'four' would be the original, Horizons, Pink Eyes and Murky N7. So, there's still:
-New Pegas (very high quality, based on FO:NV)
-New Beginnings, Misfits, Starlight (surprisingly not bad alicornfics)
-New Roam (haven't read yet, but it was recommended to me in the PH discussion community)
-Many people recommend Heroes, although I couldn't get into it (maybe you can)
-Metric fraktons of other large-format fics. Granted, some of these are just a huge pile of badly-expressed graphomania, but that will be made apparent when you start reading. More testing required.

Um, no, I mean the 4 with their own EQD pages.  the Original, Horizons, Pink Eyes, and Heroes.

Okay, then read Murky Number Seven. Withdrawal problem solved.
...
Well, of course you'll then have a whole new problem when you'll be reading it, as it will inevitably traumatize you in some way. Heh.

Otherwise, you could read some of the things I mentioned or just go digging through Fimfiction. There's a lot to dig through.

To me, Heroes' biggest selling point is the fact that the main character is a deluded fruitcake.  The times where some of the most important things Silver Storm has told the reader turn out to be innacurate makes for some great plot twists, and it adds a much deeper psychological element to it than you'll find in the other three.  Overall, I'd say that the author makes excellent use of the unreliable narrator trope.

*edit* Wait, MN7 will traumatize me?  Like, more than Project Horizons?

As an FYI to people, posting in a thread where you think the people are stupid, is frankly a stupid thing to do, since any "you people are stupid" posts is going to come across even MORE as trolling.  Which is a violation of site rules.

Don't do it.

I am, and I'm not going to retroactively go back tons of posts to enforce things because I don't have the time.

But don't come into a 1000+ page thread with the sole purpose of stating how you feel the fans of said topic are stupid.

Nah, Volus is, as the Guide would say, "Mostly Harmless".
