I too found the article, but I don't quite agree with it, the only legitimate point it really has that shows a fandom in decline is that we may not have alot of new folks around at the moment(and even then we're still pretty large i think we can sustain ourselves till the 10th, and we are at least getting new faces here from time to time so it can't be all bad)... all the other stuff happens just as much with other fandoms i'm sure, and i'm fairly certain George lucas has recieved more death threats over his life than that one person who disliked derpy at this rate. I think our own Bioware here has recieved plenty as well. 

Media was bound to stop picking on us eventually when they realized most people didn't care we watched the cartoon. We were the topic of the day because we were new and strange to them and instead of cover real issues they thought they could get better ratings out of mocking us. 

And as far as big name fans keeping distance from the community there are many Big name fans in other communities that keep distance from the fanbase.

I think what the article is really trying to do is portray bronies in declination despite only showing signs that it's a large fandom with people who aren't perfect. (and as far as the whole "fanbase lost founding values" i became a brony because the artwork appealed to me i picked up the "love and tolerate" line watching other bronies deal with throlls.)

edit:regarding convention scandals : see video game conventions and Anime Conventions and just about any other convention :/ something happens at just about everyone of the afore mentioned at some point.

Ok guys here's the deal. I'm sick to death of my iPhone 4S, and I'm going to trade it in for a Lumia 920 between its launch (November) and March. Some people may (or not) recall I posted this some dozens of pages ago:



I then toyed with the possiblity of doing the same with Best Pony's™ Mark, and am surprised after all this time I still consider it a valid idea, meaning it's not just a GET CRAZY moment. The reasons would be: it's awesome, it's relatively stealthy, and my phone would be unique (I don't intend to sell it after I retire it, so no reselling concerns)



There are two problems, still:

1- Is it OK that I'm doing this?
2- If I do it, will I really use Twi's Mark? I'm also a bit undecided on the matter of color: glossy white, matte black and matte cyan are my options, with cyan the most-wanted by far. But then Dashie's Mark would be the obvious choice, wouldn't it? I mean, look at the Cyan 920!






I would be more ok with using Twi's mark on a black or white phone, because even though white is Rarity's color, it doesn't immedeately invoke her like bucking CYAN does.

Edit: Put the cutie mark pictures to further reassure jumpy mods that this IS on-topic

Oh, and just to clarify: the effect would be same as the Batman Lumia 900: one color, and it's kinda the same color as the phone itself. No painting involved (that would be weird as hell)
